Week of Updates- Day 6

*Matt's P.O.V.*

"This is it," I told myself as I approached Abby's front door. I rang the doorbell and took a step back.

"Hey, Matt. Good to see you." Her mom greeted me.

"You too, ma'am."

She smiled, "Abby is up in her room."

I thanked her and walked up to Abby's room.

I knocked on her bedroom door.

You can do this.

"Come in," She yelled.

I walked into her purplish room and shut the door behind me.

When she saw me her face went pale, "I thought you were mad at me." She asked confused.

I shook my head, "I could never be mad at you, Abs."

She smiled and patted her bed for me to sit down. I sat down on her bed across from her and began playing with my fingers. I always do this when I'm
embarresed or flustered.

"You're doing that thing that you do when your embarresed or flustered." She pointed out, pointing to my fingers.

I nodded, "I know you have feelings for Alex. Don't tell me you don't, I don't want you to lie to me."

"I do," she said awkwardly. I looked up at her to see her looking down at the blanket in her lap.

"Brooke is back."

"And you like her."

"I love her," I said honestly looking towards her door.

I hate this so much.

"I like Alex a lot. So much I think it's a little more than a like."

"We obviously aren't happy together."

"Obviously not."

I looked back at her to see her looking at me.

"I don't want us to not be friends,"
She told me.

"Deffinently not, you're too important to me to loose permanently."

"So are we like-"

"Breaking up?" I asked looking at my finger which rested in my lap.

"Yeah."

I nodded my head, "I'm sorry."

"You shouldn't be the one to apologize. I cheated on you."

I shook my head, "Abby, if you were happy being with me you wouldn't have  kissed him back. And if I was happy with you, I wouldn't be thinking about Brooke all the time. We know who we need to be with. And it's not us."

She crawled over to me on her bed and hugged me. I turned my body and hugged her back.

A minute or so later, I pulled away from her. "I think I need to go talk to Brooke. She seemed pretty upset today."

"She really loves you, Matt."

"And Alex really likes you."

"I'm going to go to Brooke's. She needs to know what's going on."

"Go get her tiger."

I pulled up to Brooke's house, the place I spent so much time. The place that I spent the most time at with my best friend. I got out of my car and went to the door. I knocked and waited for someone to open up.

A few seconds later, Brooke's mom opened the door.

"Matthew! I've missed you so much!" She gasped pulling me into a hug.

"I've missed you too," I chuckled hugging her back.

"She's up in her room." She told me.

I thanked her and walked upstairs.

Brooke's door was shut, as usual. I knocked awkwardly. My heart was beating faster than it does after I run a mile.

"Come in." She yelled.

I opened the door too see her sitting on her laptop. She looked up at me for a second then back down at her laptop. I shut the door and sat on her bed with her.

"I suppose you're here to give me an apology or something, right?" She asked not looking away from whatever she was doing on her laptop.

"I broke up with Abby."

She looked up at me confused, "You what?"

"You heard me, I broke up with her." She nodded her head and turned her attention back to me.

"Why aren't you talking to me?" I asked after a few minutes.

"You're the one that wanted to take a break," she said putting air quotations around her words.

"That was then, breaks don't last forever. Besides, I missed you."

She looked up at me again, a small smile formed on her face. Then, out of nowhere, she dove on top of me squeezing me in the tightest hug anyone's ever given me, "I missed you too, Espinosa."
