Week of Updates- Day 7
(Last Day 😔)

*Brooke's P.O.V.*

"So are you and Matt like a thing now?" My mom asked me suspiciously.

"No," I blushed opening the car door.

"You guys seemed very happy last night."

"Because we haven't talked since we moved."

"Why not?"

I shrugged, I didn't want to have this talk with my mom.

"Was it because of-"

"No, no it wasn't. I have to go, I can't be late for homeroom." I got out of the car and slammed the door.

Once I walked into homeroom, I saw Abby and Alex talking and Matt sitting in the back of the room where the two of us used to always sit. He was writing something down.

I walked passed Alex and Abby and smiled at them shyly as I sat down next to Matt.

"Hi, this is my first day here, I kind of need new friends," I said looking at Matt happily.

He looked up at me and shut his notebook.

"Man am I glad you're back," he said hugging me back.

"Wow people are really friendly at this new school." I laughed hugging back.

"Alright class take your seats." Mr. Connor's said making everyone sit down.

His eyes traveled around the classroom, "My favorite duo is back together," he said looking at Matt and I, "Good to have you back, sweetheart."

"Glad to be back sir," I replied making Matt raise his hand.

"Yes, Mr. Espinosa?"

"Brooke is back." He said happily making me laugh. Abby turned around looked at him confused.

Mr. Connor's raised an eyebrow at him, "So today we're-"

"I'm here," Nate announced walking into the classroom. Once he saw me, he sent me a welcoming smile before he sat down. Was he feeling okay?

Matt grabbed my hand from under the desk, "Ignore him, please." He whispered.

I ignored what he said but instead I squeezed his hand three times. When my dad was alive, we used to always do that to eachother. It meant I love you.

Matt looked at me confused, I simply ignored him and continued to look at the board, then suddenly he squeezed my hand four times, "I love you too," He whispered.
