*Brooke's P.O.V.*

The car ride home with my mother was silent and awkward. It was never like that with us and I hated it. But if she knew that Athena and Jocelyn ditched me for some boy she'd probably never let me talk to them again. Even though that sounds nice right now, there's a feeling in my stomach that we'll all be friends again.

When I got home I ran up to my room and opened up my laptop and went on Skype. I noticed that Athena and Matt were both online. I moved my mouse over Matt's name but some how I ended up pressing call on Athena's.

It only rang a few times until the screen revealed Athena's bright green walls and her figure appeared in the foreground staring at the corner of her room.

"What do you want, Jamenson?" She asked not even glancing at me.

"I uh-"

I hate how you've been ignoring me he past few weeks I miss spending everyday with you and Jocelyn and how you betrayed me for some guy you only just met.

"Come on Jamenson I have better things to do."

I sighed and started talking,  "is there a part of you that misses me at all?"

"Of course there is but Nate won't let me hang out with you. I'm sorry I really don't know why he doesn't like you." She confessed finally making eye contact with me.

"Do you ever think how much it hurts me that you don't even look at me all anymore because of some guy?"

"Brooke I'm only doing it because I love both you and him."

"So your saying that you love me but yet you pushed me away to make your stuck up boyfriend happy?" I asked with tears rolling down my cheeks.

She was silent for a moment until her phone started ringing. She looked at the contact and smiled. "Hold on I have to take this." She told me before going on mute.

I layed back in my bed allowing the tears to stream down my warm cheeks. I hated that she hated me. I wanted things to go back to normal.

She went off mute and I sat up. "Alright," she giggled into the phone. "I love you too, bye." She hung up and starred at me.

"He's not stuck up, Brooke. Maybe he called you ugly because it's true." She shrugged.

"Did you really just say th-"

"Oh no no no Brooke I'm so sorry I didn't mean that." She interrupted me realizing what she did.

"You obviously did. He's really changed you." I spoke my words cold yet true.

"Brooke are you up there?" I heard Matt scream from down stairs.

Crap I forgot he was coming over today. "Yeah I'm up here." I yelled back.

"Who was that?" Athena asked adjusting her laptop.

"Hey bestfr- Brooke what's wrong?" Matt asked closing my door and running up to me.

He sat down next to me and embraced me in a big hug. I pulled away about a minute later and glanced at the computer to see Athena was staring at us in confused.

"What did you do now?" Matt asked pushing me out of frame so Athena can only see him.

"If you two never met none of this would have happened! The only reason Nate doesn't like you is because of Matt and now I know why, he has to get into everbody's business." Athena snapped ending the call.

"Brooke don't listen to her. Please." I shook my head and pushed my laptop aside.

"She's right. I'm ugly and I don't deserve you." I spoke quietly trying not to cry again.

"Shut up because she's wrong. She's only saying that because she's jealous of what you have." I shook my head again.

"All I have is my mom. My dad died in a car accident last year. She has brothers and two hard working parents. She's beautiful and anyone
would be lucky to have her. She has an amazing life. And I'd kill to be her."
