*Brooke's P.O.V.*

I sat down next to Matt and tapped his shoulder. He looked up at me and smiled. "Hey Brooke."

"Hey can I talk to you for a sec?" He looked at the group of people who were sitting with him. They all were having their own conversations. He nodded and got up and followed me to the corner of the lunch room.

"What's up?"

"What makes Nathan such a bad person?" I asked him making his eyes widen.

"You don't like him, do you?" He asked his eyes bugging out of his head.

I shook my head. "My friend Athena does though."

"Is she in here right now?" I nodded making his eyes grow even wider.

I led him over to where Athena and Jocelyn were.

"Which one of you is Athena?" He asked plopping down across from Jocelyn. I sat down next to him and across from Athena.

"Who even are you?"

"My name's Matt how 'bout you?"

"Athena, now what do you want?" Athena asked crossing her arms over her chest.

"You cannot like Nathan!" Matt told her.

"Why not?" Nate asked from behind Matt in a deep, raspy voice.

Matt turned around and stood up.

"Leave them alone." Matt warned getting in Nate's face.

"Why are you afraid I'm going steal one of them from you? Silly little boy." Nate said patting his head. "You can't even get with a lemur let alone hot girls like them."

"Well if we're hot then he's on fire." Athena whispered just loud enough for Jocelyn and I to hear it.

"Brooke come on let's get out of here." Matt said reaching for my hand. "No Brooke stay here. You don't want to be with some loser like him, do you?"

I looked at Jocelyn and Athena. Athena was shaking her head meaning for me not to go with Matt and Jocelyn sat there staring blankly out into space.

I grabbed Matt's hand and started walking off with him.

"That's okay. She's ugly like him anyway." Nate spat sitting down where I previously did.

"What did you just say?" Matt asked running back over to them with his hands in fists.

"You heard me." Nate replied standing over Matthew.

Matt took a swing making Athena, Jocelyn, and I to freak out like a bunch 2 year olds when Frozen comes on.

A blue eyed boy came running over to Nate and Matt who were now throwing punches at eachother and pulled Matt off of him.

"Stop it you guys! What are you, five?" Blue eyes asked them.

Matt ran his fingers through his hair and walked out of the cafeteria.

That was the last time I saw him that day.

"I still can't believe you picked some boy over us today." Athena said pulling
her binders out of her backpack.

"Yeah. That was pretty messed up, Brooke." Jocelyn agreed.

I sighed. "Matt warned you guys and he's right. Did you not see Nathan punching him?"

"First of all it's 'Nate' and second of all, Matt punched him first!" Athena said.

"But he was defending me!" I yelled slamming my head on my bookshelf making me rub my head in pain. "I honestly just want to go back to public school." I told them.

"No you don't mean that!" Jocelyn said. She was right I didn't mean it. But it doesn't mean I'm not thinking about it.

"What I was really interested in today was that blue eyed guy." Jocelyn smirked.

Athena smiled at her. "You guys would be kind of cute together. Did you catch his name?" Jocelyn pouted out her lip and shook her head. "Watch though, by tomorrow we'll be friends."

"I call dibs on Nate!" Athena said raising her hand as she bounced  up and down. "Fine by me." I said scrunching my nose at the thought of anyone actually liking Nate.

Just about then Athena's phone rang.

She looked at the contact and smiled. "I have to go." She told us before grabbing her stuff and leaving.

"I do too, gotta find out who those beautiful blue eyes belong to." Jocelyn said waving goodbye before leaving.

This is going to be a long year....
