Week of Updates- Day 3*Abby's P.O.V.*
"Goodmorning students. My name is Ms. Carmen. Mr. Connors has come down with some nasty cold so, I'll be babysitting you for a few days." The lady said walking into Mr. Connor's classroom.
She looked about 40 years older than Mr. Connor's making her about 60. Her white hair fell down just past her shoulders. She wore a green foral dress matched with black sandals. She gave off a really bad vibe as she stood in front of us.
"Here we go," Matt mumbled making me laugh.
"Is something funny, ma'am? Would you like to tell the class what you're laughing about?" She asked walking closer to me.
Alex turned around and gave me a confused look.
"Uh, no," I replied awakardly looking down at my lap.
"That's what I thought. Alright class, Mr. Connor's assigned a written assignment today that he would like you to do in groups of 3. I asked if he would like me to pick groups but for some reason he trusts you." She rolled her eyes as she passed out the paper.
Once she was done, Alex walked over to Matt and I, "Can I work with you guys?" He asked.
I nodded my head.
"Wait, you're gonna let pretty boy work with you?" Nate asked walking over to us.
I blushed and looked at my packet hoping they wouldn't notice.
"What's the problem?" Matt questioned him.
"Nothing, you just aren't worried that he'll steal Abby from you? I mean look at him." Nate looked at Alex who awkwardly looked the table.
Oh gosh was Nate making this awkward.
"He's not, Nate you're so stupid. Just leave will you?" I mumbled.
Nate rolled his eyes and walked away. He joined another group and looked over at Alex. He was still awkwardly starring down at the table. Leave it to Nate to always ruin everything.
"I'm sorry," Alex whispered.
"No don't be, Nate has this thing where he likes to tear everyone down." I explained.
Matt looked over at me with a hint of jealousy on his face as I started rubbing Alex's back.
"Don't worry about it, he wouldn't hurt a fly though."
*Matt's P.O.V.*
If she only knew..
"Come on guys," I clapped grabbing their attentions, "we have work to do."
I opened up the packet and started solving the problems. Man, I swear Mr. Connor's makes this work way to easy.
Every now and then, I'd look up to see Abby like 3 pages ahead of me and Alex starring at the first problem. What was his problem?
Abby stopped and looked over at him, "Do you need help?"
"I never learned any of this at my old school." He told her.
"Here, I'll help. It's really easy once you get the hang of it."
I bit my lip and continued working, I don't think I liked this kid anymore.
Maybe, Nate was right.
