Unfortunately I woke up from the nicest dream going. I had a nice big group of friends. A perfect boyfriend, which in reality I can't get. A mother AND father who both loved for who I am. A little sister who didn't get neglected by her own mother. A step dad who never entered my world, and last of all, I had a life that I would kill for.
I slid out of bed and into my slippers with a tiny hole at each end. Oh yeah I forgot to mention this. We have a Dalmatian, who is a bouncy as a little kid on a trampoline. She is called Spring, you now know why she's called spring, and she has chewed hole in my slippers. (Just great!)
Carrie ran into my room screaming. So I spun round from looking in the mirror to now be looking at a six year old girl, running into my arms.
"What on earth happened Carrie?" I panicked
"Mum hit me again!" She cried holding one side of her face
I stormed out of my room telling Carrie to wait up here. I ran into mum's bedroom to see if she was in there, suddenly I heard her shouting downstairs. I slammed her door shut and ran down the stairs like a bolt of lightning and straight into the living room with my fists clenched.
"What the hell do you think you doing," Mum shouted
"First of all get out of my face! and second of all why did you hit Carrie!"
"She refused to get the washing out of the washing machine and hang it up outside,"
"Mum she's SIX years old for crying out loud, she probably couldn't reach the washing line if she tried, and your a forty-one year old un-active woman, so for once why don't you get off your lazy ass and do it yourself!" I lost my temper a bit
"I beg your pardon, you don't speak to me like that, how dare you come in here and raise your voice at me,"
"Well I sujest you stop hitting Carrie for doing things that she can't possibly do... No actually, you need to stop hitting Carrie once and for all, it is sick the way she comes in my room and CRY'S her eyes out saying you have hit her... AGAIN. So you just be grateful I havn't already taken her and rang up child helpline!"
"Get.Out.Of.My.Face!" Mum said coming towards me
"Why, it's my home to, I can prance around where ever I like here." I start to twirl around the living room like a ballerina.
Mum takes a swipe at me, so I try to duck, but her spindly fingers catch my right cheek and her nails drag round to the corner of my mouth. So i let out a scream
"You cow, you have no respect for your kids you disgusting witch! You don't deserve kids in the first place!" I run out of the lounge and up the stairs.
Carrie asks me what happened so I just told her I had a word, but she couldn't take her eyes off the scratch across my face and the finger marks stitched on to my face.
"Come on bab, let's get you dressed for school, I'll go and get your uniform ye?" I left and walked into her princess themed bedroom.
I picked up her cute little uniform that I had ironed the night before. I always think, new week, new start. But no, never is is this household. If I could even call it that.
I stripped Carrie down out of her pyjama's and pulled the paper white polo shirt over her tiny head. I did the buttons up and pulled up her barbie knickers. She held onto my shoulder's as I put on her skirt.
"Do you know what Jess, I actually want to get out and go to school," I was sick at the thought of a six year old girl actually wanting to get out of her own house and not be around her parents.
I put on my uniform, now realizing I have half an hour to get Carrie to school and get myself to school.
I fixed up my hair so my blonde silk hair would brush my face and grabbed hold of Carrie's hand to take her downstairs to get on her shoes.
Mum was still sat in the lounge watching Jeremy Kyle, so we both sneaked into the hallway to the shoe rack. I slipped on m black dolly shoes, and buckled up Carrie's black shiny shoes.
I grabbed my over the shoulder bag, and Carrie picked up her book bag. As soon as I grabbed the door handle there was a sigh from behind me.
"Now, you think you could get away with out saying good-bye," Mum tutted
"To be honest mother, you don't really deserve one" I said stroking my finger marked face
"Also Jessica, you have to pick Carrie up today, me and Mark are going out, so that means, oh suprise suprise you have to do the chores when you get back,"
"Jeez, you really like winding me up don't you mum, I don't even know why I still give you that title," I started to think "Hmmm, mother, that is the name of a person who looks after her kids, and loves them, and does things for them,"
"How dare you, I do things for you!" She started to raise her voice
"Yeah when dad was around, but now he's not, if you havn't noticed he's gone now! Oh, don't worry if dad was still here, me and Carrie wouldn't be in your hands, we would be all snugly with dad, in his warm caring house. This is more like a death pit." I shouted
"You are doing your chores wether you like it or not, and your dad isn't here, so your under my rules. Just do as your told next time and don't retaliate!" She sneered
"Good-bye mother!" and with those words I opened the door and slammed it shut behind me. I was hoping her fingers would be in there. (Yes my mind has a grim side to it) but she deserves it.
