Chapter 6 | Parade

I put on the costume Yogi picked out for me and met the others outside.

"Oh! you look so cute [your name]!" Yogi complimented you.

"You're very beautiful, just like the stars tonight!" Nai joyfully said.

Gareki stared at you and nodded as if agreeing with the two.

Yogi had chosen outfits for each of us the only problem was... he chose what he wanted to see us in... Gareki was dressed in a Cheshire Cat inspired outfit composed of purple jeans, a purple knitted sweater that hung off his shoulders in an uneven manner, his black boots and... purple neko ears, along with his goggles.

Nai's outfit resembled a sheep look... a fluffy white overall with a red shirt under, little sheep horns and black boots.

Me... well... I was dressed in cute clothes... along with neko ears. [colour] jean shorts with a [colour] woolen top, which also hung a similar way as Gareki's, a black singlet under, black thigh-high socks and cute red ankle-boots, two black buttons at the top of each for decoration along with [colour] neko ears.

Yogi, of course, was dressed in his beloved Nyanperona suit.

We followed the paraders outside and walked in the streets following the others.

That damned Yogi! Making me dress up like this... and worse... I'm matching with [your name]. As if there weren't enough annoying things in my life already! But... man [your name] looks freakin' cute. I could feel the heat of my blushing cheeks, while trying to conceal my face the best I could with my hands. There are so many kids here.

"Are those real?" one of the kids asked, others following him with questions. "Are they real? Can I touch them? Where did you get them? Are you with the parade?"

By now the brats were surrounding me like a pack of wolves, asking me questions with hands out wanting to touch my neko ears.

"F-fine" I say to them with a reluctant and irritated tone in my voice as I leaned down to their level.

[your name] was giggling at the sight of the swarm of kids around me.

"Ttch, that's it, I can't take much more of this!" I ran up to [your name] and that's when, the unthinkable happened. Yogi extended his foot out in front of mine, tripping me over while I ran towards her. Everything from that moment on seemed like it was in slow motion.

I giggled at the sight of Gareki letting the children touch his neko ears. He looks so adorable with that slight blush to his cheeks.

I heard him whisper under his breath "Ttch, that's it, I can't take much more of this!".

Before I knew it he began running my direction, tripping over Yogi's extended leg, which clearly looked like Yogi had done it intentionally, and landing on top of me in front of the crowd.

Everyone looked at us and it seemed like the longest 15 seconds of my life. Gareki's face began to emit heat as he struggled to get back to his feet. He held out his hand while looking at the ground in embarrassment. I was about to take his hand when I remembered something, the man I saw earlier while Yogi was flying us to the ship... I could sense his presence in the street.

"Someone's here... the same one as before." I began averting my gaze to the alleyways around the street.

"[your name] what are you talking about?" Yogi began looking around with me until Nai began cupping his ears to listen to a sound.

"There's a sound... in that alleyway" he pointed to an alley which was much darker than the rest ... blood-thirsty, yellow eyes were waiting for us.

"I found the red seeds" he said while repeating the last few words of his sentence "red seeds" several times.
