But I ain't trying to have none of my people hurt or murdered
It ain't worth it, I can't think of a perfecter way to word it
Then to just say that I love y'all too much to see the verdict
I'll walk away from it all before I'll let it go any further
But don't get it twisted, it's not a plea that I'm coping
I'm just willing to be the bigger man
If y'all can quit popping off at the jaws with the knocking
'Cause frankly I'm sick of talking
I'm not gonna let someone else's coffin rest on my conscience 'cause
Step by step, heart to heart, left right left
We all fall down, like toy soldiers
Bit by bit, torn apart
We never win but the battle wages on for toy soldiers

"So I was thinking going with like a light blue almost white color. My daddy wants to make me a dress, but I'll leave that for prom," Layla explained to Bre and Nia. So yes I have been getting the silent treatment from everybody. And I've been enjoying it. It's been a week of pure silence from them. Lil King don't even bother me. Like how do they even call this a punishment?

"Y'all this ain't working," Niya told them.

         "Yes it is," Bre shrugged.

"It's really not. He's enjoying his peace from us. KJ you're an asshole," Nia told me. I rolled my eyes.

"KJ why won't you just come to the festival? If you want to, we won't even do the switch-a-roo thing," Layla told me. I cocked my head to the side.

"What does that mean?" Tre asked. I zipped my lips.

"KJ that's so freaking petty," Mel muttered. I shrugged.

"You act just like Lyric," Lil King laughed.

"I liked it better when y'all wasn't talking to me," I shrugged.

        "Told y'all!" Niya exclaimed.

"KJ, why don't you want to go to the Winter Festival? This is my first year going and it would mean so much to me to have you by my side. And if you come, I'll do anything you want me to. Just come to the dance. That's all I ask of you."

         "No."

"KJ. Pleaseeeeee," she repeatedly kissed my cheek.

         "No," I said once again.

"If you don't go, I'll just go with Lil King and when we have to switch dates at the end, I'll go home with Talon," she folded her arms.

"Do what you wanna do Layla," I said standing up. "I'm gone. Hit me up when y'all wanna give me the silent treatment again." I turned to leave. Then I felt an arm grasp me.

"Hey KJ. Do you have a date to the Winter Festival?" Sapphire asked. It seemed like everyone stopped to stare at us. The whole cafeteria was quiet.
