Everybody needs somebody who'll be there
Someone to wipe the tears and make you smile
So if you need someone that will not judge you when you fall
No matter what you've done my love will answer when you call
So after your hearts been torn in two
And you just don't know what to do
After the rain has come and gone
And the sun still wont shine
After your friends have walked away
And you've run out of things to say
After you've tried everything else
Try me

"So what's it like at public school?" Melanie asked.

"I mean. There's a lot of black people," I started.

"KJ," she hit my arm laughing.

"Honestly, its cool. It's just you probably won't get the most effective education. There's always something going on," I shrugged.

"You still hanging solo?" She asked.

"Only for now. Tomorrow it's me and you. The baddest duo around," I said. She grinned.

"We should wear our shirts that mommy made," she shrugged.

"With our baby picture on it? Melanie hell no. We can just wear our crown shirts or I don't know," I shrugged.

"I think I'll just wear my overall shorts and a shirt," she shrugged. "You should wear your overalls."

          "What shirt?"

          "Our blue polo shirts."

"Wait we're wearing our dark overalls or light overalls?" I asked.

"Wait I can wear my pink overalls with a black shirt and you can wear your black overalls with a pink shirt," she said.

"The shit I do for you Melanie," I shook my head.

"We're gonna look so cute. You should wear a bowtie and I'll put a bow in my hair," she grinned.

Melanie is way too excited to start public school. Her going to our school is one of the reasons Mel wanted me to move in. Me overtaking my medicine was just what she needed to blackmail my mama. Never minding the fact I would have moved in anyways.

"KJ. Melanie," she knocked on the door.

"Oh and wear our black pumas. Yes mama?" She asked.

"Shut up before y'all wake up my husband," she said sitting on the bed.

           "My fault," I chuckled.

"Why is daddy sleep? He should be up," Melanie frowned.

"Because I slipped some Nyquil in his pepsi. He just kept talking and talking about shit I didn't wanna hear," she shrugged.

"I can't believe I moved in with your crazy self," I shook my head.

"I'm going to bed. Y'all keep it down," she rolled her eyes. Then she left.

"Do you think she'll cuss me out if I asked for another sibling?" Melanie asked.

"Most likely," I nodded. She chuckled.

"I'mma go to bed, so I can get a headstart on tomorrow," she told me.

          "Alright. Goodnight Princess Melanie."
