I know it's past tense,
It's been a minute since
We were a couple and
Arguing and holding hands
Kisses and I love you
Doing what lovers do baby
But baby that was then
Cause now we don't
Talk no more
You got a new man and
It shouldn't bother me
But girl it's driving me crazy
Everybody say
Boy why don't you just leave it alone?
But I don't think I can
I stay up all night thinking bout you
I know it ain't baby
But I don't think
I don't think I can let go
: Let Go by Neyo

                Kyren P.O.V.

I just sat up front tossing my football up in the air. It was about one in the morning on Sunday. I didn't have school. Usually I be over Layla, but since we weren't together anymore, I just chill at home.

"Fuck man!" I snapped throwing the ball against the floor.

"Kyren Jr." I heard King say. I looked over at him. "Huh?" I asked him. He sighed sitting down beside me.

"Look son. I know I haven't been your favorite person lately, but take my advice. And let this girl go. She may be the first girl you broke up with, but she won't be the last. If its meant to be, it will happen. Some people are here for a season and a reason. And you never know she might be the leaves during the spring and summer. Then again she might be a root for all seasons. But you'll never know if you sit up here getting madder and madder at her and your friends. Talk to them because if you don't you'll never forgive them and just have hate on your heart for the rest of your life," he told me. And for the first time in years, I listened to my dad.

"Thanks dad," I smiled reaching to give him dap, but he disappeared. I rubbed my eyes and he wasn't there. Damn I was hallucinating again. I need to change my medicine. I always hallucinate when I take it regularly. I need to take it regularly though. I just need to sleep.

"Wassup?" I asked sitting down. They all just stared at me.

"Hey KJ," Nia smiled. Bre waved. And Niya rolled her eyes.

"You called here us after you called us fake and wack. What do you want?" Niya asked. I sighed.

"I just wanna get back cool with y'all. I shouldn't have said that and lashed out on y'all," I shrugged.

          "So you apologizing?" Tre asked.

"No. But if y'all want me to, I will sincerely apologize," I shrugged.

           "Then apologize," Rock said.

          "I'm sorry. I was wrong," I said.

          "Cool," Tre nodded.

"Did you apologize to Layla and Lil King?" Mel asked. I rubbed the stubble on my chin.

"I apologized to Layla," I nodded.

            "What about Ky?" Bre asked.

"What me and Ky got going ain't got nothing to do with y'all," I shrugged.

"Apologize to Lil King and then we good," Tre said.
