Karkat hugged Jake, hearing sniffles." Jake, please don't cry..." there they sat, tears now streaming from both their eyes. " no matter what happens, I promise I'll always visit. For now, I won't go, that's a promise." Jake hugged karkat tighter, rocking slowly." Thank you..."

" Kanny? Please unlock the door. "

Dave stood there, shocked." C-come on Kankri you don't mean it right?" No response. " please answer me Kan..." nothing. "Could you please just open the door?" "No." Was the trolls response." Kankri I know i fuck up a lot, and I haven't been doing my best to make everything that I've done up, but I'm trying. I know it doesn't seem like it, but I am. I hate seeing you cry, and I hate it even more when I know it's because of me." " you don't mean that. " "yes I do! let me in so I can show." " ..."
The soft click of the door sounded as a small piece of curly hair peeked from behind." I still don't trust you..." Dave wrapped his arms around Kankri tightly, feeling tears on his shirt." Please stop crying..."   " why? It's not like you would care..." " I would care! I do care! I will always care! No matter what happens I'll care about you." He gripped onto him tighter. "I... I don't know-" " Kan, please just trust me..." Kankri nodded slowly hugging back tighter.

Jake let karkat go, kissing his temple.
Karkat smiled weakly. " jake... are you ok? You haven't been acting like yourself..." Jake smiled, letting out a forced out laugh." Of course I'm fine! I'm just... gonna miss you."
Karkat cupped jakes face, staring into his eyes." Are you sure, you promise?" Jake blinked, shaking his head no." I- can't promise. I'm a wreak... it's so lonely here! I barely have friends and when I met you... it was like I had found a ray of light. I don't want to... To lose that light... I could never compete against Dave because I know you still think about him. Im so weak... I honestly don't know why you even stay around me...."   The troll wrapped him in a hug, squeezing him tightly." I didn't know you felt that way..." " you weren't suppose to." " why didn't you tell me Jake?" " I... thought you would leave, you would think I was just some worthless, pitiful boy with a stupid accent."
Karkat pulled away, kissing his nose." I think you little blunders are cute, and I find you accent quite adorable." Jake smiled, kissing karkat's cheek softly. " thank you-" " no problem, I just want a small reward~" Jake smiled wider, holding karkat's hands." Anything for you~" " so is that a yes to movie day?!" " of course!"
They walked out of the room, Jake carrying karkat to the theater room." I can't believe you have this." Well that's what happens when your grandma likes movies." They sat on one of the warm couches, putting on a variety of movies." So...this Jones character, does he always get into danger?" Jakes face lit up." Always! He's one of my favorite adventurers ever."  Karkat huffed, pouting slightly." Don't hurt yourself going out for adventure like that, the last thing I need is to lose you." " aw, darling you won't lose me! Wherever you are I'll be there next to you, giving you all the help you need."  They laughed, snuggling up together.
As the movies went through, the boys snuggled up, enjoying each others company while it lasted.

Dave smiled as he felt Kankri nod. " Dave, can you promise me something?" " sure." "Be good to karkat, you can be a huge ass at times." Dave nodded. Pulling away from the hug."

Night slowly came around, all of the boys falling to sleep.

Karkat woke up to a loud thump."Jake?" A small groan in response sent karkat flying through the halls. Jake was getting up slowly, syrup covering his hair. " are you ok?!" Jake scoffed." I'm perfectly fine, I was just thought to myself' why not give karkat a better breakfast than pancakes!'" Karkat laughed." Well ok then, go wash off while I go make some breakfast." Jake nodded, blushing as he walked to the bathroom.

What a life it will be to meet a friend.
