Characters and concerns

Hi everyone! I just  wanted to take a second to address a few things about some of the characters. By now you may have noticed how I am trying to fit as many ships as I can into this story( and if all goes well there will be a second book) let's start with our somewhat main character at the moment:

Karkat vantas:
In this book he is definitely out of character. At the time, it is the last day of march. In this book that is the time when all troll's are in heat. With Dave being not quite the perfect person at the moment, his only other friend introduced is his moirail, Gamzee makara.
Yes, this is very sloppy but please note that I am trying my best. When the vantas brothers were grubs they knew the makaras. Signless stayed with them until he said he was going for a long walk-
Actually I should probably include that part in the next chapter. In this book, Karkat starts off with anger, but when he meets Dave he starts to become softer, breaking down his walls. After many failed love attempts with Dave his heart was left in shambles, leaving him confused and lost.when he found Gamzee he felt like he was truly happy. Overtime Karkat starts to realize that his mind is blurring the lines of redrom, switching for almost everyone around him. Being in heat his mind instantly shifted to red when the only person around was his moirail. Now confused and scared, he can't help but feel worthless.if there is anything else that you want to comprehend them please don't feel nervous to comment.

Onto our next character:
Dave strider:

Dave had once had a huge crush on his long time best friend, John Egbert. After the trickster played a  horrible prank on him he stormed off, meeting Karkat. He was instantly confused on his and karkat's actions towards each other when they hung out, talked, etc.. After both of them finally confessing their feelings, they decide to start a MATESPRITSHIP. He screwed up everytime he was put in a situation. He had grown up with bro and Dirk, both drinking and always fighting with him about all the smuppets around the apartment. When left alone in a room with karkat's brother, KANKRI VANTAS, his curiosity( and a few beers) leads him to make a horrible choice. After that incident he started to soften up, losing his' cool guy' way. He never really had anyone to talk to so he kept it inside of him, something he would regret doing in the future. His mistakes start to add up, anger boiling inside of him. When he missed a hit to Gamzee, hitting Karkat, his heart broke horribly. He had promised to keep Karkat safe, but how is he going to help Karkat if he's slowly breaking? (I will be happy to clear any blurry spots if needed)

Now one of our slightly recent characters,

Gamzee makara:

Gamzee had had a flush crush on Karkat since the two were grubs. When he grew older, his mind started shifting to darkness. His thoughts would cloud, ending with himself screaming to himself in a corner with his arms covering his head. One day he ran out of pie and the infamous accident occurred. After realizing what he had done he was so lost that he ran away from everything, including Karkat. After years of running, he came back. Only to find that his crush/ moirail was in a MATESPRITSHIP with someone.so he decides to be there for him and look out for Karkat.( same as the others, i would be happy to clear things up if needed.)
