The Lion Guard and the Lion( first in series)

Chapter nine: Jasiri

Caroline's POV
A growl filled the air. " Leave that lion alone, fish breaths!" A feminine voice snarled. The crocodiles swig their heads to face the animal who spoke. So did I. I recognized that voice. I wouldn't mistake it for any other animal.

The growl. It was Jasiri's. Jasiri is a hyena. Not a bad one like Janja and his rule breaking band, but a good one. She helped Kion get through the Outlands.

And now, she was helping me. I think. You can never tell with her. Jasiri, to describe her, she was a purplish female hyena with some real guts and bravery. She has black tuft fur on top of her head that looks like Kion's little mane.

Jasiri leaped magnificently on top of the diles, and she swiped and bit at them. The selfish crocs backed away, and ran away. Not that I ran away before, but they were more scared than I was of Luke Skywalker getting his hand cut off by his own father.

Jasiri laughed at the diles. " Better choose your acquaintances and allies more carefully Janja! Hahaha! Now," Jasiri laughed, turning to me. " Now, you. You are with the Lion Guard, aren't you?" Jasiri asked.

" Of course," I meowed, dipping my head like a warrior cat. I was grateful to this hyena. " Wow, so polite! I like it!" Jasiri said.

" Thank you for rescuing me," I politely mewed to her. I was acting so much like River Ripple. " Your welcome. My name is Jasiri. What is yours?" Jasiri asked. " My name is Caroline," I said. " What a weird name for a lion," she commented.

" Why thank you, Jasiri!" I meowed. She tipped her head. " Well, I guess I should escort you to the Pridelands," she woofed, beckoning me with the flick of her tail.

" And I guess I should follow!" I teased her. She only laughed, as she knocked down my bone cage. I grinned.
