Chapter ten: RiverClan like rescue

Caroline's POV
Jasiri has been leading me out of the Outlands for a bit. We both have been talking about the circle of life.

She was very interesting. She told me that when she was just a hyena pup, that she lost her parents. That was very sad. We reached the border between the Pridelands and the Outlands.

Jasiri put a paw on the trunk tree that separates the Outlands and the Pridelands. Suddenly, the branch trunk gave way beneath Jasiri's feet.

Jasiri yelped. The river that also separates the bondaries caught her, and she flowed somewhere else. " Heelp!" Jasiri cried, water getting into her mouth, as she was taken into the swifter parts of the river.

Right now. I wasn't thinking. I just paced there for like a few minutes. Then, I realized something. I can swim! I can swim to save her. But there was one problem. The river was too fast. I shrugged.

I guess the only way to save her is diving in. I jumped, my paws flailing. The river water flooded into my mouth. I spat it out, and concentrated.

I placed one paw on her, as I reached close. She reached out with one of hers, and we swam to safety. She glanced at me. " You're a swimming lion!" She laughed.
