Chapter twenty-six: Outmatched and shadow battle

Caroline's POV
The quickness of this shadow animal was unbelievable! This thing could out run Fuli! I got a closer look at this animal. He was a black wolf, dog, coyote thing. He had gray paws and a gray tail. His eyes are the creepiest of Amber eyes. And just when you think that Tigerstar couldn't ever return, he does! In the shape of this carnivore.

He cackled evilly. Like Bill Cipher, but even more creepy. This was some kind of a hellhound or shadow animal. I don't care what it is, it's the slender-man of animals. He swished his long gray tail. The ground started to shake. A whole lot of hell animals were running toward us. Janja whimpered.

" Ah!" The animal laughed, licking his chops. " Kion, leader of the Lion Guard, we finally meet." The shadow wolf laughed. " W-who are you?" Kion asked. He sounded scared. The wolf laughed. Like the Alpha of the Wild Pack. " I am Shadow! This is my pack, and we don't like any of you here!" Shadow laughed. His pack moved closer.

" I'm not scared of you, Alpha!" I growled. Shadow laughed. " I am one of the most powerful animals here, what can you do against me?" He asked. I bared, my fangs. He only laughed. " This!" I barked, and back kicked the dog. Humiliated, Shadow snarled evilly. He leaped, and scratched Bunga's leg.

I heard a snap. I really hope that was a tree! Because if not, that was Bunga's leg. Shadow laughed. " Lion Guard, attack!" Kion yowled. " Shadow animals, attack!" Shadow repeated. Shadow leaped for me. I dodged. " Oh come on, death is coming your way, anyways!" Shadow barked.

Beshte screamed. No! Not the strongest! This battle was gonna be lost, if we didn't do anything. Kion tried the roar, but the wolf things didn't move out of the way. " Hahahahaha! We're immune to your little roar!" Laughed a gray fuzzy dog thing. It was barely even an adult to be fighting this fight. We were doomed.
