Caroline's POV
I was patrolling the ground. It has been at least five days since Janja last tried to eat. What is he planning? Something big! I growled. The evil nuisance. He is trying to figure out how to maul me to death! Just like Darth Maul!
I felt an urge. Stronger than usual. Someone was watching me, and they are closer than before. Suddenly, I was swept off of my feet. I yelped. A Jackal was watching me! It was Rairai! I suddenly realized that she brought more. Dogo and Goigoi! I was out numbered. I growled.
" Awe! Is the little lion all alone?" Rairai taunted. I snarled, and kicked her. She dodged. " Your aim could be better," she grunted. I leaped on a rock. They followed, but they were unsteady.
" And your balance could be better!" I flashed back, kicking dirt as I leaped into a tree. " Boys, climb!" Rairai ordered. They did. I was in big trouble. Where was Kion? He could help me. Or Jasiri! This looks like it could be the end of my sweet life.
