Chapter twenty-seven: Deadly battle ( part one)

Caroline's POV
" From this day on, we will rule the Pridelands!" Shadow barked, pinning me. He was about to slash me. Fuli ran past me, and slashed the ghost like dog. It barley even cut his fur.

Shadow laughed, and slashed back at Fuli, causing a big mark on her back. Fuli fell. This would take a miracle. Janja leaped at one of the hell dogs. The dog slashed his muzzle. These dog things are like Fierce Dogs. They obey their leader and don't care about the damage they've done.

Two of our warriors were down. Shadow laughed mechanically. Jeez this dog is as creepy as Mapleshade. I was suddenly swept off my paws. Standing before me was a completely black dog. She growled at me. " Take this, human!" She howled. They knew I was a human?! They must have been spying on me the whole time I was here.

She lashed out a paw, and raked me. I fell limp. On purpose. She laughed. " Not so tough now, aren't yah?" She asked, feeling very proud of herself. I then, made my entire body explode upward. The dog was surprised. " Oh, very tactful!" She laughed. She pinned my back, and then bent down to do a killing blow.
