Chapter fifteen: Crazy

Caroline's POV
Before long, it was beholded that Timon and Pumbaa were in front of me. I shifted my paws in nervousness. Confused whether I was here to be friends with them or to eat bugs, I just followed the lion king.

I hoped over a log. " Greetings kid! We have been here waiting all day!" Timon says. " Simba told us that you used to be human! Tell me, do humans eat bugs?" Pumbaa asked. Oh no! They want to feed me bugs! I shrugged. " Some humans do, but I'm not one of them, so leave me alone," I growled.

" Woah, kid! We were just gonna offer it to you, not force feed you it!" Timon says, then turns to Pumbaa. " Kids," he said, as if he told Pumbaa it quietly. " Uh sorry!" I said, sheepishly. Timon turned back to me. " Apology accepted. Now do you want to eat bugs?" He asked, thrusting out a leaf full of them.

I took a good look at these bugs. Slimy, hairy, spider....wait, spider! I jumped and Timon looked at me. " Oh! This spider is not poisonous!" Then he pops it in his mouth. " Mmm! Delicious," Timon commented. I just gave him a strange look. " Well kid? Take one!" Timon encouraged. I was hungry, so I took the risk.

I delicately picked up an ant. I chose it because of a cat. I don't know much about the cat, but his name was Antpelt, and he died from Ivypool. Not that I blame her for his death. I crunched the bug. The ant tasted crunchy. It was actually pretty good, but I think I prefer meat that this. I shrugged at the meerkat and warthog. " It wasn't too horrible!" I said.

Timon grinned." Glad you like it kid!" He said. I shuddered though. Because I felt like I was being watched once more.
