Chapter twenty-two: I feel it in my heart

Caroline's POV
I ran as fast as I could. Kion's in trouble! I ended up running into a body. I looked up. It was Kiara. " Kiara, your brother's in danger! Tell the others!" Forget about me telling them myself, I trust Kiara to tell them. Kiara nodded. She believes me! I breathed out a sigh of relief, but that stopped, when I saw another black shape.

What? I thought Rairai and Dogo were that shadow! I was wrong. The shadow was moving at me, and fast. It came clearer. It was a dog. Like that dog creature from Harry Potter. Was this that death dog? I ignored the feeling in my heart. I dashed back to Kion. " I thought I told you to..." I gave him no chance to speak.

I dove right in the water. I felt like the lions from the past were with me. I grabbed Janja and Kion. Janja was shivering, the coward.

I looked at the clouds. They were with me. I saw their spirits. Like they were on the ground. The waterfall came into view. I had no time! We would fall over. Then, I felt the water ground slip from my paws. I let go of Kion and Janja. We were all dead. All fresh-kill to the vultures.

I let out one last yelp, before I felt a rock or something hit my head.
