I watched as Sundancer walked out of the cave a young filly trailing behind her. I was glad she hadn't said anything to Pepper that would bother him, but she hadn't even given me a chance to talk. I wasn't much of a fighter and I knew that was something I needed to work on as a lead mare. I looked at the horses she'd brought in here. Thankfully the stallion had already fallen asleep so he wouldn't be a problem yet. I looked at Silverblaze "What do we do about them, we can't just kick them out its far to cold at night". Silverblaze sighed then said "As long as that stallion doesn't start a thing with me they can stay the night, but they are out of here first thing in the morning. Go see if you can convince Sunny to come back in with that filly before it freezes, it's far to cold out to bring a foal out there". He then turned and went to check on our herd. I sighed really not wanting to follow Sunny but I knew he was right about the foal that had followed her. I trotted out into the cold night air. Through all that had happened I hadn't even realized that much time had passed. It was pitch black out, there wasn't even a star in the sky. Suddenly something hard slammed into my side knocking me to the ground. I screamed in pain and looked up to see a large bay Andalusian, who must've been the one to kick me. The pain in my side combined with the frigid night air was horrible and I slipped into unconsciousness barely knowing what had just happened.
