I sort of of panicked after Sunny fell down. Silverblaze started fighting with Thunder and it looked pretty bad. I instinctive turned to bolt but Darkstar blocked my path. "Don't go anywhere" the stallion told me. I had to admit, I was more afraid of him then the fight happening next to me. "If he kills Thunder, we are leaving" Darkstar then told me. I was still completely starving and tried to eat but Darkstar shoved me when I tried. I stood there and watched the fight continue. Both horses were bleeding from managing to land bites on each other, and it stained the snow bright red. A crowd of horses from both herds gathered to watch. I saw Pepper watching and told him to quickly go in the cave. He obeyed without protest. How these horses could fight so long I didn't know but an hour went by. Thunder was larger then Silverblaze, but Silverblaze was faster. I knew as both their energy wore down though Thunder might gain an advantage. Sunny stood up eventually and shook the snow off herself. I looked at Sunny, glad for a reason not to watch to watch the stallions fighting. Sunny looked horrified when she saw the fight going on and came over to me. "How long have they been fighting?" She whispered so Darkstar wouldn't hear us talking. "Like an hour" I told her, and even Sunny seemed surprised. Darkstar looked annoyed about how long this was taking. Finally he walked up to the fight and kicked Silverblaze hard in the side knocking him to the ground. "Would that be considered cheating?" I asked Sunny. She didn't reply. Silverblaze stumbled to his feet and looked at the two horses now facing him. "How is this fair?" He asked. "It isn't" Darkstar replied "but you idiots have been at it for over an hour, during that time I saw Wolf sneak away which means he's basically surrendered". Sunny seemed bothered by that last line. "Thunder wanted Wolf's herd and the fact that Wolf left makes it his, now Silverblaze do you really want to fight me in that condition which will pretty much guarantee your death, or will you surrender?". Darkstar was not fair about anything, but he was crafty that's for sure. He'd put himself in a position where he'd win no matter what. Silverblaze looked at me with a look that said he had a plan, and to trust him. "I surrender" he said out of breath. I knew he's he was planning. He would come back eventually, at least I thought so. "Wise choice, now get out of here" Darkstar said. He then chased Silverblaze off. I looked at Sunny. I didn't know for sure if Silverblaze would come back even, but I doubted Darkstar and Thunder would be nice, so our lives were going to stink until he did. "Alright everyone in the cave" Darkstar said. Thunder repeated his words and all the horses who'd gathered watching turned and fearfully went in. I didn't blame them for being afraid at all. I turned and followed the group hoping things weren't as bad as they seemed.
