I was still sort of dazed between the freezing cold and the pain in my foot. I stumbled through the woods leaning on Sunny for support. I was glad she came to find me, I probably would've died if she hadn't come. It's all because of your own stupid fear of like everything, this happened I thought annoyed with myself. I wondered how Sunny had become so confident. She acted like nothing could defeat her and she knew it. Basically the exact opposite of me. We finally arrived back at the cave with the herd. I was pretty creeped out to see dead bodies there on the ground. I decided to just head inside. When we walked in nobody even acknowledged me. I didn't even know why they still seemed to hate me, Darkstar is dead. It was when that thought finally settled in my mind that I felt truly safe. He was dead, he wouldn't ever bother me again. When Sunny went off to talk to Hawk I went over into a corner of the cave and laid down. I was exhausted after all that. I was always tired lately it seemed. At least I had a good reason to be this time. I got comfortable on the cave floor and fell asleep. The next morning I was really hungry. I went outside to eat avoiding the dead bodies that were out there. I noticed paw prints on the ground and hoped we'd be moving soon, this meant the blood had attracted wolves. I wondered what was going to happen with the two herds. If we became one herd it would be to big for Hawkeye to handle, there would be a lot of horses. Honestly if that were to happen anyway though, I'd let Sunny be the lead mare, she was a better leader then me. I was just a coward, I seemed to create more problems then I solved. I sighed stressed about pretty much everything. I was failing my herd as a leader, I knew that for sure. I couldn't just leave them either although it was tempting to just walk away, they didn't seem like they'd care if I did. Both my herd and Sunny's were a mess right now and I hoped no other horses were in the area, they'd take advantage of our weakness. When I finished eating I turned and walked back into the cave.
