Chapter 5-Sundancer

As I lead everyone across the hill to bring them to the winter spot, my fears were revealed as i saw the familiar palomino. It was Sunpearl. Maybe I could just turn around and find another place for us. It was getting late though and the crisp air was going to be hard on the mares and foals. In all honesty Wolf didn't care of anyone died. He just didn't. So therefore it was important that I kept everyone safe. I heard Lizzie come trotting up behind me.
"Mommy it's cold." She huddled against me as my long blonde mane streamed against the wind as I locked eyes with Sunpearl for a brief second before she looked away and trotted back inside the cave. As hard as it was, I would have to suck in my pride and go inside. For the herd's sake. I brought everyone down to the cave. I took a deep breath and walked in. It was a pretty big cave. Plenty big for two herds. I walked in with my head held high. It was important that Sunpearl and Silverblaze knew that I wasn't afraid. When my heard came in, I led them to an empty spot as they looked around nervously at the other horses.
Lizzie stayed next to me.
"Mom who are they?"Lizzie whispered.
"My old herd. I was kicked out by them. I have a colt." I responded.
She nodded and I looked around and I saw him. Pepper. My own flesh and blood.
"Pepper!" I was so happy. I trotted over excitedly but when I went over he got scared and ran behind Sunpearl. I was confused but my heart broke when I heard him say, "Mommy who is that?"
Sunpearl had turned around and I knew that she was already nervous about me because I mean, who wouldn't be nervous about seeing me?
"She's just another heard member sweetie now go play with the foals." Sunpearl had responded so innocently. I was furious.
I walked angrily over to when she was and glared at her. I could sense how nervous she was getting.
"Stealing my herd and my colt I see." I sneered.
She shifted uncomfortably. "Look Sunny, I didn't mean for-"
"Shut your face Sunpearl. That is my foal and he calls you mom?!" I was practically screaming at her and both herds were staring at us. Especially since both sides knew who I was.
"Sunny, I rea-" She tried to talk again.
"I don't like you. Don't call me Sunny." I was getting really stressed out again. My voice was shaking and I was on the verge of tears.
"You took my stallion,my herd, my family... and you dare have audacity to call my colt yours?!" I was trembling now and Sunpearl just looked at me. I had then see someone appear behind her. I immediately recognized the blue roan as Silverblaze.
"Sundancer, you need to stop." He looked at me.
"Fuck you Blaze. I cant believe you told our son that she was his mother. I hate you. I hate you so much. Go to hell." I had started weakly crying now and walked out of the cave by myself until I heard little footprints behind me. It was Lizzie's. She was worried about me and didn't want me to go without her.
