When we finished eating I lead the herd back to our usual cave area. We would need a safer place for winter. We had spent most of the day outside and when it was getting dark I brought everyone home. I always wondered whether Pepper ever remembered me. I missed him so much. It broke my heart thinking about him. I huddled with Lizzie. I didn't want her to become cold.
She had started calling me mom and it was nice to hear that at least someone appreciated me. I kept her huddled close as I watched the herd sleep for the night. In the morning is when we can search for a place to stay for winter. Even though Wolf claims that we won't run into Sunpearl and Silverblaze when we find a place to stay for winter but my gut tells me otherwise. I was so under appreciated by him. He didn't even care that my stallion had kicked me out of the herd and wouldn't let me take MY son. I hated Silverblaze so much. Deep down I still loved him but he betrayed my trust. The only thing Wolf wanted of me was someone to be in charge because he absolutely sucks at leading. But it still was a pretty bad gut feeling that I was going to see Silverblaze and Pepper and that slut horse Sunpearl again. How I hated her too. I needed to quit worrying about this and just sleep. I leaned down my head and closed my eyes as I drifted asleep.
