Wes's POV
Since the nursery had been a neutral color for the twins, I decided to make Alexis' edition perfect for her. Maddie is now almost eight months pregnant, which means I need to get finished with the nursery as soon as possible. I got the twins moved into their own rooms, and so far they love it. For the nursery, I'm painting the walls grey with white polka dots, and putting the crib in the corner. Taylor's crib is being taken to storage since he got a new toddler bed. But Alya's will be used for Alexis. I called Marcus and he helped me paint and get everything set up. Within the next few weeks Maddie could go into labor at any time. Marcus and I got the nursery done last night and he is coming back over this afternoon to help me put the twins rooms together and get the final touches done to it. Alya's room is to her liking, as well as Taylor's. I took them with me to get everything for their rooms and helped them pick everything out. They are extremely smart for their age. Alya's room will be green and grey, to her request. And Taylor's will be blue and red, to his request as well. When we were out for paint, I took Taylor with me and he looked at me with his bright blue eyes, telling me he wanted fire tucks, like mommy, and wee-woos, like daddy. It was adorable, and I couldn't resist getting enough paint to make both in both of the twins' rooms. I got everything set up and now I'm waiting for Marcus to get here. Maddie was laying down in our room, and I had the twins sitting down at the table eating. I heard a car door shut outside and I walked to the door. I glanced back at the twins in the kitchen and opened the door for Marcus. Hey man, thanks for coming. Yeah, no problem. Glad to help. We walked into the kitchen and I grabbed him a beer as Alya and Taylor finished eating. Marcus walked over beside Alya and kissed her head. Hey Princess. She looked up at him and smiled wide. Hi Unca' Mawcus! Taylor looked up from his food and smiled wide too. Hey little man! Taylor held up his hand and waved. Hi! Marcus ruffled Taylor's short hair and stood back up. So how's Maddie? Good, she's sleeping. Told me to wake her up before we got to work so she could watch these two. Alright, well ready to get started? Yeah, can you stay down here with them while I go get her up? Yea sure. I nodded a thanks to Marcus and took the stairs to get Maddie up. I quietly opened the door and went over to her side. Maddie, hey. Wake up baby. She shifted onto her back and slowly opened her eyes. Hey Love. Marcus is here. We were going to get started on the twins rooms. Hopefully get it done tonight. Yeah, can you help me up? She chuckled and I stood up. I held out my hand for her to take. M'lady. She grabbed my hand and slowly swung her legs over the side of the bed. After she stood up she leaned into me as we walked towards the stairs. I let Maddie go first and had my hand on her back as she went downstairs. I followed her into the kitchen where Marcus and the twins were and she went over by Alya and Marcus. Hey Mama, how ya feelin? I'm good, Marcus. Thanks. I feel huge though! I smiled and nodded my head upstairs so Marcus could know I was ready to get started. Alright, that's my cue. Sit down and relax! Marcus walked by her, giving her a kiss on the cheek before following me upstairs. When we got upstairs I grabbed the paint from our room and took it over to Alya's room, leaving the paint for Taylor's in the hall. Okay, so, you can get started in here and I'll go over to Taylor's room. I already painted a coat yesterday while they were down for a nap in the nursery so now all I have to do is paint the fire truck and the police car. Shouldn't take me too long. In here however, it need a second coat of paint and then I can't paint the fire truck and cop car in here after its dried. Then we can break for lunch. Hopefully by then the paint will be dry and then we can work on furniture. Sounds good. I'll get started. I nodded my head and walked to Taylor's room to get started.
An hour later, I had gotten the fire trucks and the cop cars painted in both rooms. Now we're going down to have lunch before working on furniture. I walked downstairs with Marcus behind me and saw the twins curled up on the couch, fast asleep. I heard Maddie humming in the kitchen, probably making lunch. Walking up behind her, I gave her a kiss on the side of her head. Hey Love. Hey. Lunch is almost ready. Okay. All the painting is done. Now we have to get the furniture done. Great! I don't thinks they're going to last much longer in cribs at night, or on the couch for nap time. I smirked. We will get it done. I promise.
About 10 minutes later lunch was done. I walked into the living room to wake up the twins from their nap so they could eat as well. Maddie had told me it took Taylor a while to fall asleep so I woke Alya up first. I sat down beside her sleeping frame on the couch and gently rubbed her back. Hey Princess. It's time to wake up. She twisted around and faced me, sloppily moving her brown hair out of her eyes. When she saw me her eyes lit up. Daddy! She shot up and jumped onto my lap score wrapping her arms around my neck. I chuckled and kissed her forehead before picking her up and taking her to the kitchen with Maddie and Marcus. Then I walked back to the living room to get Taylor up. Hey squirt. Time to get up. I rubbed his back and he got up about like Alya did. Wrapping his arms around my neck, I picked him up and we went to the kitchen for lunch.
After lunch and two more hours of working on the twins' rooms, it was all done. We took them up to their new rooms and I could see them fall in love with their rooms. Alya and Taylor's eyes both lit up at the sight of it all. I smiled seeing my kids so happy and wrapped my arm around Maddie's shoulders. Marcus had left a little while ago saying he had to get down to the bar that he co-owned. I kissed Maddie's forehead as Alya turned around and ran into my legs, giving me a hug. Tank-ou daddy! You're welcome baby girl. You wanna go see Taylor's room too? She shook her head and we all walked to the other side of the hall, looking into an obvious little boys' room. Taylor had the same reaction as Alya and gave me a hug around my legs. After all the excitement went down, I put the twins to bed while Maddie took a shower before going downstairs to put a movie in. I laid Alya down in her new bed a kissed her forehead. If you need anything you know where mommy and daddy's room is. Just come get us. Okay? Uh huh. Good. I love you Princess. Goodnight. I leaned down to kiss her forehead again before she gave me a big kiss on the cheek. I smiled before quietly closing the door, not to bother the little girl that was already had way to dreamland. I walked to Taylor's room and found him sitting on the floor playing with some of his trucks. Hey little man. It's time to go to bed. Taylor looked up at me and smiled. Daddy look! Tucks! Yeah, I see your trucks bud. It's time to go to bed though. He gave me a sad face and I couldn't help make a deal with him. Hey, let me make you a deal, T. How about when I get home from work tomorrow, we can play any game you want! Sound like fun? Uh huh! Alright. Sounds like we have a deal. But, you have to promise me you'll be good for mommy tomorrow while I'm gone. Okay daddy. I kissed his forehead as well before walking out. Goodnight T. I quietly closed the door behind me before going downstairs to watch a movie with Maddie. Today was a complete success. We got all the rooms done for the kids, and we have much success with getting the twins to be able to sleep in their new rooms. All around, I'd say we had a pretty good day.
