When my alarm went off, I immediately slammed my hand on it. Then I heard something fall. I looked to see what it was and saw my alarm. On the floor in pieces. Great now it's broken. I literally fell out of bed to pick up the pieces of my alarm. Well maybe it's not broken. Maybe I can still save it. Probably not considering the fact it was on the ground in like a million pieces. I let the pieces fall on the ground when I heard something in the bushes. I ran to my window and looked to see who was there. No one was there. That's odd. I heard someone at the door and went to see who it was. I opened the door and saw Mariah standing there. She looked happy as ever.

"Hey. I just totally flipped out. Like I don't know if it was my imagination cause I heard something in the bushes", I said.

"That's weird. Anyway I came to spend the next three days with you", she said.

"Wait what?", I asked.

"My parents are fighting again", she replied.

Her parents fight a lot so she stays here for a few days when they do.

"Yeah sure. My dad isn't here so you can sleep in his bed", I said.

"Thanks. Now hurry up so we won't be late for school", she said looking at her watch.

"Can I eat please?", I asked.

"No", she replied.

"Come on Mariah. I'm a human and humans need food", I said.

"Look we can get you something on the way. Hurry up and get your backpack so we can go", she said.

"Promise me I will get food?", I asked.

"Yes now if you'l be so kind to get your stuff so we can leave", she replied.

I went and did as she said. Normally I would put up a fight bu today she promised me food. Which I highly doubt I'll get but since she promised, I believe her. When we promise something to each other, we keep the promise. If we don't, then we have to pay. I know what you're probably thinking by now. Our friendship is crazy. But that's what we dedicated our friendship to. Being crazy and weird. It all happened ten years ago...
