Chapter 8

Once we got to school all eyes were on Mariah and I. I saw Connor and Dylan walking towards us which is the reason why everyone was looking at us. I couldn't help but stand in shock when they were right in front of us.

"Hey girls", Connor said.

Okay I don't know which is better. The fact that he knows I exist or the fact he's talking to me.

"Hey", we said back.

"So I'm throwing a party tomorrow night wanna come?", Dylan asked.

"A party at your house?", I asked.

"Yeah. It'll just be us. Something small", Dylan replied.

"Sure a party at your house sounds great", Mariah said.

"Cool. See you at 8", Dylan said.

As they turned to leave I called Connor's name. Making him stop in his tracks. He walked back towards us and nodded.

"What about our date Saturday at noon?", I asked.

"We can just go to the party together. But I have a favor to ask", he replied.

"What is it?", I asked.

"Dylan gets to go with Mariah. He has the hots for her", he replied.

"Uh sure I'll ask her", I replied tugging on her sleeve.

I made her turn away from Connor.

"Dylan wants you to go to the party as his date", I said.

"Yes I'll definitely go as his date. He's just so cute and-".

"Awesome double dates", I said sarcastically.

We turned around and Connor was still standing there.

"She accepts", I said.

"Cool. See you tomorrow then", he said.

He walked away to catch up with Dylan. Once he was out of hearing range, Mariah and I squealed in excitement.

"Omg we have dates", I said.

"What are we gonna wear?", she asked.

"This calls for shopping", I replied.

We ran to our class because the bell was going to ring any moment now. Now comes the hard part. Waiting..

After school we went to Krazy Burger which sells these awesome burgers with a free shake for every meal. We sat in a booth talking amongst ourselves about tomorrow.

"I can't believe we get to go to a party tomorrow and it'll be just the four of us", I said.

"Honestly this was something I'd never expect coming from them. Maybe this us a trick and all the popular kids will be hiding", Mariah said.

"Can't you just be more open?", I asked.

"Not really. Come on they obviously want something. Why do you think they want us there alone?", Mariah asked.

"To get to know their fellow students better", I replied taking a sip of my chocolate shake.

I heard the door open and in walked two familiar faces. Connor and Dylan eat here to?

"Uh don't look now but the popular kids have arrived", I said.

She peered over my shoulder and saw them ordering their food. They looked at us and Dylan said something to Connor which made Connor walk over to us. Crap. Well it's not like this is the first time he's seen me eat. As soon as he approached our table he immediately sat next to me and played with my hair like it was a routine or something.
