Falling For The Vampire

Chapter 28

The big day had arrived quickly. We were at Connor's well our house getting ready. We decided to have the wedding here because our backyard was big enough for all of us to fit so no one would have to not show up because of the limited space. It seems like yesterday Connor was protecting me from Kane. Now here we are about to get married. We decided to have the wedding at night because  almost everyone who's attending are vampires. Cole, Isabel, Jessica, Spencer and Melody are coming as well. From what I've heard Melody is the sweetest baby ever. She isn't any trouble and no one had a problem with her at all. Jessica is my second bridesmaid and Melody will be the flower girl with some help from Isabel. I've decided that the bridesmaids can wear any color along the lines of red and black while my dress will be plain white. Mariah did my hair in a braid going around the front of my hair and then clipping it into a bun in the back. She left a few loose strands to hang but not to much where it would get in my face. My shoes were flats because I don't feel like walking in heels all night. Connor and I decided to write our own vows instead of the traditional until death do us part stuff because death is probably a long time from now.

"Sage are you ready?", Mariah asked.

"Yeah", I replied putting on my shoes.

I walked out the room and saw Isabel, Jessica, Mariah and Melody all ready to go out. They all looked absolutely beautiful. Melody had her little red dress on, hair was left down and she wore a sparkly red headband to match. Jessica wore a knee length sparkly red dress and same Isabel. The only thing that didn't match was their hair. Jessica had a braid going down her back while Isabel had let her down and it was wavy. Mariah had a red floor length dress with flats to match. Her hair was put up in a high bun and she didn't wear any make up. She didn't really need it because her skin was perfect the way it was. No scratch that. Her skin was flawless. Mine was flawless to but Mariah and Isabel insisted that I put some on. So they compromised on a smoky eye, red lipstick, and some light blush. They did an amazing job like I thought they would so I wasn't really worried. We had only two minutes before the wedding started and I started getting nervous. Mariah and Isabel noticed immediately.

"Sage you okay?", Isabel asked.

"No. I'm super nervous. What if I get my words mixed up? What if Connor says he changes his mind?", I asked.

"Look Connor stayed with you all this time. He's not gonna bail on you now after all you've been through together. He even fought off two other vampires just to save you when he could've just left you to die. There's no way he's leaving you", Mariah replied.

"I agree. Back when I worked in the castle Cole almost killed me. Then we caught feelings for each other and till this day I'm glad he didn't kill me", Isabel said.

"She has somewhat of a point but I'm so confused but anyways, Connor could've left you multiple times and he didn't. So he's not gonna leave you now", Mariah said.

"Your right", I said.

"Come on girls it's time", Isabel said.

Mariah held the back of my veil while Isabel, Jessica and Melody walked out in front of me. Isabel held Melody and helped her toss the flower petals on the ground (which Connor will be cleaning up later) and Jessica followed after. Once they made it to the alter I began walking and all eyes were on me. Everyone stood and looked at me. I heard some people say stuff like "She's so gorgeous" or "I'm so happy for her". Even though no one said anything bad about me I felt that people were going to say things after they weren't in hearing range. Everything went in slow motion and before I knew it Connor was holding my hands and we were getting ready to say our vows. We hired the same priest Isabel and Cole had for their wedding.

"The couple has decided to write their own vows. Connor shall start off", the priest said.

"Sage, when I first laid eyes on you I felt something I never have before. I've never fallen in love before. You and I both know this. You were the reason I risked my life to save you. I can't imagine life without you. you are my entire world. You're the reason of my existence. When you left for almost two weeks I was lost. I had no reason to live anymore because I didn't know if you were coming back. Sage I love you", Connor said.

"Now Sage", the priest said.

"Connor, it seems like only yesterday when we first laid eyes on each other. You risking your life for me is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. I then knew you're the one for me. You're so kind, caring, sweet and lovable and I couldn't ask for anything else. You are the only one I want forever.  I'm always going to love you forever and that's a promise. I love you more than anything. Nothing will come in between that", I said.

Good enough right? Although Connor's was better but I had to say something as good as what he said.

"Now the rings please", the priest said.

Cole handed us the rings and we placed them on each other. I smiled when he placed the ring on me. One more thing and we're bound together for life.

"Sage, Connor I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride".

Connor held me by my waist and lowered me towards the ground and kissed me. I felt like I was floating on air. Everyone clapped and cheered and I broke the kiss. Now we're bound together for life...
