Chapter 22

Sage's POV

Saturday. Thank god. It was almost eight when I woke up and  found a jar full of paper and a piece of paper next to it. I read the note quickly barely paying attention to what it said.

'Purple are the reasons why I love you. Red are the good memories we had and blue are the reasons why I want to marry you. Pick one everyday leading up to the wedding. Save a blue one for the wedding day.

I opened the jar and picked a blue one. Reason why I want to marry you: we're perfect for each other and I want to spend eternity with you. He's so sweet. I found a small box so I put it in there. I opened my bedroom door and saw Connor standing there which didn't surprise me at all.

"Hey baby", he said.

"Morning", I said giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"No lips?", he asked as I walked past him.

"I didn't brush my teeth yet", I replied.

"Doesn't really matter to me", she said pulling me close to him. 

Our bodies touched and it felt weird that his heart didn't beat like mine or that his skin was a little cooler than mine. Soon we'd be the same and bound together for life because I don't plan on leaving and neither does he.

"I can't wait until you turn me", I mumbled.

"It won't be long. Just a couple more days", he said.

"I don't think I can wait that long", I said.

"Graduation is Monday you'll be alright. Don't rush it love", he said.

"I'm not. I just want to spend the rest of my life with you now", I said.

He kissed my forehead and lightly rested his chin on the top of my head.

"I know but you have to be patient. You can't rush into things", he said.

"Yeah I know the whole patience lesson I passed 3rd grade", I said.

"Just be patient alright?", he asked.

"Okay", I replied.

I heard a knock at the door and it opened. Then I heard shouting.

"Hey guys I know you're here", a familiar voice said.

"In the bathroom Mariah", I said.

Connor didn't move his chin from my head and Mariah walked in texting somebody. She looked up at us and chuckled.

"You guys are so cute together. Anyway Sage I went and got your dress it's on the couch. Dylan went and got your suit Connor for the graduation and wedding from the cleaners. He's gonna bring it here", she said.

"Okay. I need you all out so I can do my business", I said.

Connor kissed the top of my head and left with Mariah. I closed the door and began my routine. Brush my teeth for two minutes, brush my hair for ten and check myself for three and leave the bathroom. I heard the door close and footsteps coming in my direction. Once I finished I walked to the kitchen and saw Connor making breakfast.

"Since when did you learn to cook?", I asked.

"One of the many things you don't know about me yet babe", he replied.

"What else do I not know about you?", I asked.

"I'll tell you when I think you're ready", he replied.
