10: Forgiveness

(Killian's POV)
It was quiet.

No one had dared to say anything. Until finally, I decide to do something. "I'm going to go and find her," I announce. I stand up and a small pain shot up my leg. I squeeze my eyes shut for a few seconds.

"No," David says.

"What do you mean, no? I'm going after her!" I say, growing quite annoyed at David.

"You can't," David states.

"Well why the bloody hell not?" I ask, real annoyed now.

"Because you can't even walk Hook!" He yells at me.

"It's Killian," I mutter.

"I'm sorry, Killian," David says more calmly. "But you should stay here. I'll go after her."

I sit down in my chair feeling useless and stared at the floor. "Bye," I hear David say to Snow. I also hear him give her a quick kiss before he left closing the door behind him.

I start thinking about what had just happened and how it had been my fault for bringing up the subject to begin with.

And it was once again quiet.

(Emma's POV)
I needed some fresh air so I left the apartment. Even though I heard my parents and Killian calling for me, I didn't look back. I just went straight outside.

I decide to head to the docks. It was a peaceful and quiet place, good for thinking. When I got to the docks, I walk over to a bench and sitthere, trying to calm myself down. About five minutes later, I hear someone call my name. I didn't need to look up to know that it was my dad. I wait for him to come to me.

When he sits next to me on the bench, my eyes remain locked on the ground. After a few minutes of silence, my father speaks up.

"I know you're mad," he say. I roll my eyes. "And you have a right to be." This surprises me. I look up at my dad. "I do?" I ask not sure why he said that.

"Yes," he replies. "But..." I let out a groan now knowing what he was doing. "That doesn't mean you should lash out on people" he continues. I close my eyes and let a small sigh.

"You're right," I say. "I'm sorry."

Now I was starting to feel guilty for the way I treated everyone. Even Elsa, I mean I don't even know her! She must think I'm a horrible, horrible person. Then my father pulls me into a hug. And I hug him back. It felt nice.

David always hugs me the same way, with one hand on my back and the other, cradling my head as if I was still a child. But I didn't mind. "It's just hard, dad," I admit while still in the hug, letting a tear slip. "Every time I see him in pain, it hurts me. Especially when I know that I'm the cause of this."

"I know it hurts, baby. But you can't blame yourself. It was Killian's choice to save you, you didn't force him to do anything. He's a fighter, he'll be fine, I promise," My dad told me. It felt good to talk to someone about this and my dad is a great comforter. He kisses the side of my head.

Then he pulled out of the hug and wipes away my lone tear before placing both hands on my shoulders. "I know you're sorry, but I'm not the only one you need to apologize to," he says. I nod my head. He smiles and I smile back.

We both stand up, off of the bench. "Then we should go" I say. He nods and then kisses my forehead before we linked arms and start to walk back to the apartment.
