I Finally Found You (1)

6: Taking it easy

(Killian's POV)
I know what Emma was going to say. And I understand the reason why she didn't say it. The last man she said those words to left her, and that was years ago. But I'm determined to knock down the rest of that wall, and I won't stop until I do.

After we kissed, Emma went to go ask Dr. Whale to check on me. I suddenly realize that I have a bit of a headache. But I don't care, I was just so happy to see Emma.

Moments later Dr. Whale comes into the room with Emma. Emma comes in and sits down where she was sitting before.

Whale did a few tests and asked me questions about "How do I feel" and stuff like that.

Finally, he says, "Well it seems like you're doing okay given the situation. However I must warn you, over the next few weeks, you will have some major headaches. I'm not going to lie, they will hurt. What I suggest then is to take a few deep breaths and take one of these," he then hands me a bottle of pills. "Also you should rest for a few days since your body is still sore."

"When can he leave?" Emma asks.

"Well if he just rests, then Killian can leave today. He just has to sign a few release forms before he leaves," Whale answers, and with that he leaves the room.

(Emma's POV)
How I wish this would be me. I wish I was going through all of this instead of Killian. And if he didn't save me, then I would be here. But that's not how life works.

After Whale left the room, Killian spoke up, "Well I would like to leave here wouldn't you?"

"Yes I would," I reply, thankful to escape this dreary hell.

"Love, would you mind grabbing my clothes so we could leave?" He asks.

"Not at all," I say and smile. He smiles back and with that I leave to get his clothes.

Once I retrieve his clothes I go back into Killian's room, give him the clothes and leave the room to give him privacy to change. Since that might take him a while, I decide to walk back out to the waiting room.

When I enter my whole family swarms me and bombards me with questions such as, "How is he?" or "Are you ok?" I simply answer, "He's fine and so am I. He's just getting ready and then we're going to leave." Everyone gives a quick sigh of relief and smiles (well, at least my mom and Henry smiledanyway).

I smile back and go to go check if Killian was ready. I walk up to the door and knock. "Come in," Killian replies.

I open the door and asked "Are you ready?"

"Aye. Would you mind helping me walk? It seems I am still sore," he replies.

"Of course," I say. I walk over to him and he put his arm around my shoulder. I proceed in helping him out of the room and towards the waiting room.

When we enter the room, my mom and Henry smile and run over to us. Henry then hugs Killian. I could tell that Killian was surprised at first but then he hugs back. I just stand there, smiling at my two boys.

(Killian's POV)
Today's full of surprises. I never really realized how much Henry liked me until now. After we hug, I was yet again surprised when Snow hugs me as well. She says, "I'm glad you're alright. You had us pretty worried." But the biggest surprise was David's response. "Thank you for saving Emma," he says and gives me a small smile. I knew he'd warm up to me.

"There's no need to thank me, I would've have let that monster harm her," I respond to which he nods at me, impressed.

After the surprise hugs and 'thank you's stop, Emma helps me walk over to the receptionist's desk and I sign the forms to get me out of this bloody hospital.

Once I finish with that, Emma offers to drive me home in her bug--which apparently David found in the forest and brought over here--So Emma helps me out of the hospital and into her bug.

She drives me over to my apartment at Granny's, helps me up the stairs and into my apartment and then brought me over to couch. I really hate that I'm not able to do this myself, that I have to depend on someone in order to walk.

I sit down on the couch and Emma says, "Take it easy okay? I have to go, but call me if you need anything."

"Where are you going exactly?" I ask.

"I have to go help with the whole ice beast situation. Someone's behind all of this. We have to find them and stop them" she answers to which I immediately disagree.

"Swan don't."

"What?"

"That beast tried to kill you and I'm guessing the person behind all of this isn't too friendly either."

"Killian I have to help them!"

"Then I'm coming too."

"You can barely walk because of what that beast did to you! You have to rest Killian," she argues

"I don't want you getting hurt out there while I'm stuck here doing nothing to help!"

Emma sighs and gives in. "Fine. It's getting pretty late anyway." I glance over at the clock which read 9:30.

"Swan?" I ask.

"Yes Killian?"

"Will you stay with me?" I ask, searching her eyes for an answer.

(Emma's POV)
"Will you stay with me?" He asks.

I didn't know how to respond. Yes, I wanted to I just...I don't know. Then again, I am still worried about him. Finally I decide.

I smile and reply, "Of course I will." He smiles back.

I then help him up and into his bedroom. Realization hit me that I was in my leather jacket, a black t-shirt and black leggings, not exactly pj material. But I doubt Killian would have any spare clothes for me.

Going into the washroom, I freshen up while Killian got changed. My face really needed washing and I need a shower but I'll worry about that tomorrow night. For now, I'm too tired. I also text my parents to let them know where I was since they're very paranoid.

I leave the washroom five minutes later with my hair tied into a bun and place my leather jacket on the kitchen counter before heading towards the bedroom. Before I enter, I knock just to be sure Killian was done changing. "It's okay swan you can come in," he says.

Killian was in a white t-shirt and black shorts. I walk over to the right side of the bed and get in. Killian takes off his hook and climbs into the left side of the bed. We were both just staring into each other's eyes until I spoke up, "I was really worried about you, you know."

"I know, I'm sorry I put you through that. I just couldn't lose you," he explains.

"I get it, if the situation was reversed I would've probably done the same," I say and smile at him. We both slowly lean in until our lips connect. Every time we kiss, I'm overcome with this amazing feeling that I never want to leave. Our lips move as one, both in sync with one another.

Eventually the kiss breaks apart and we're both out of breath. "I'm sorry about earlier. About not letting you leave," Killian say. "But like I said, I need you safe swan."

I smile and say, "It's okay. Once again, I would've done the same." Killian smiles and then pulls me into his embrace and my smile grows bigger.

"Goodnight swan," he says and kissed the top of my head.

"Goodnight" I say, falling asleep to the soothing sound of his heartbeat.
