Chapter 8 Emily, Soldier Water

Emily's POV

"Do I have to go fight a monster right now?" I asked irritated.

"DUH, Of course you need to come!!" Paul yelled at me.

"We are about to go to math class though!!" I tried to reason but Paul just dragged me along.

"Who cares? It's just math class!" He said smirking.

I sighed and just walked with him. Apparently there was a snake monster at the pool.

"Wait, why would there be a snake at the pool in winter?" I asked.

Paul shrugged and we continued walking. When we got to the pool a large green snake with a scorpions tail at the end was slithering there.

"Eww!! I hate snakes!" I yelled and my voice caught the snakes attention.

"At last the soldiers have arrived... Hmm... The soldier of magic." It said mentioning Paul.

Then it looked at me. "And you, I don't know what your power is, but I know your a soldier because I can feel the energy you give off!!" He said it's red eyes looking at mine.

"Your mistaken... I-" I was cut off by the snake coming towards me.

"Magic Illusion! Transform!!" Paul yelled. And he transformed into his Soldier form.

"Mirror Reflection!" Paul said and a barrier appeared in front of me.

The snake bounced off of the barrier and it fell inside the water.

"This is why you wanted me to come with you?!" I yelled.

"I guess!!" He yelled back at me. I glared at him.

The snake jumped out in the form of a woman.

Just think of her as Medusa. Not a pretty picture.

"I will take both of your energy and I will kill everyone with that power!!" The monster said.

She opened her mouth and a red energy beam came firing towards us.

I gasped and I threw myself to the side it ripped a part of my shirt.

"That was an expensive shirt you know!!" I said angry.

The monster scoffed and prepared to shoot another energy beam towards me.

I bit my bottom lip trying desperately to think of something.

I did the only thing I could and threw myself in the water.

The cold water hit my warm skin hard and it stung.

I could see through the water that Paul was trying to fight off the monster but I could tell he was going to lose.

What can I do to stop being so useless? I thought in my mind.

I clenched my fist and it started to glow blue.

I stared at it as it got brighter and I felt a surge of power go through my body.

I lifted my hand and I said words that suddenly popped in my mind.

"Waters Reflection! Transform!!" I started to float upwards and I popped up the surface.

I stood floating above the water a couple of inches. Blue ribbons of water surrounded my body and formed my sapphire blue dress.

My feet glowed and silver high heels appeared on my feet. "I am the soldier of water at your service!" I said.

"Emily? Your..." Paul stuttered obviously shocked.

"Yeah I'm surprised as you are but I guess I was the soldier of water all along." I said.

"Finally you transformed. This is going to be interesting." The monster said.

"Now, let's see what I can do." I whispered and held out my hands.

Some blue bubbles appeared and they glowed brightly I twirled and yelled out, "Bubble Blast!!"

A dozen bubbles flew at the monster and they hit her full on.

"My turn!!" Paul said. "Scorching Shards!!" He yelled out and the shards flew at the monster.

The monster slowly started to disappear and the only thing the monster left behind was it's echoing cry of pain.

"Well I guess this time you were the one who saved me." Paul said scratching the back of his head.

"I did? How so?" I asked puzzled.

"Well when you fell in the water I attacked the monster but none of my attacks were working but then when you hit her I knew I could attack her." He explained.

"Oh, I'm still confused but I guess your right!!" I said cheerfully.

"I really love my new outfit and especially my new power!" I said slightly twirling.

"But is my Bubble Blast attack the only attack I have?" I asked hoping that the answer was no.

"You'll acquire new moves in the future battles." He said and smiled.

I nodded and suddenly a question popped in my mind.

"How do we remove our transformation?" I asked.

"That's easy watch." He said about to demonstrate.

He held up his hand and yelled, "Transformation Undo!!" His body glowed white and he was back to normal.

I nodded and imitated him. "Transformation Undo!!"

I too, transformed back to normal.

"Well, at least you won't have to be protecting me all the time anymore." I said.

He laughed and nodded as we left towards class knowing perfectly well we were going to get in big trouble.

Unknown to us pairs of eyes were seeing every little detail we just did.

And even worse they weren't on our side.
