Chapter 48: Graduation Day: Bataille Finale: Part 3, Mort éternelle.
Paul's POV
"Oh god no! Please no!! This isn't happening. Don't you dare die baby!" I screamed, tears running down my face. I fell to the floor and lifted his head onto my lap. He winced and coughed dark blood. "Are......you......" He coughed more blood. "Okay?" He asked his eyes showing concern.
"Don't worry about me. Just wait for a bit while I heal you with my magic, soon you'll be all well and we'll defeat Shade and we'll finally be able to live together forever!" I cried hugging his body tightly.
I placed my hands above his wound. "Shiny Healing Dust!!!" I yelled loudly.
Nothing happened.
"Shiny Healing Dust!!!!!!!!" I screamed even louder. Still nothing happened. "Healing Dust!!!" I screamed and some tears fell on his cheek.
"PLEASE WORK!!!" I begged and cried into his curly hair. I felt Alonzo place his hands softly on mine. "It's okay babe, you have to keep going forward.....and raise our baby along with your friends. And maybe even find yourself a suitable man so he can protect you." He said trying so hard not to cry in front of everyone.
"But I don't want anyone else. I only want you. Your the only one who can protect Nathan and me." I said my voice breaking with every word I said.
"Nathan...? I....like.....that..." He sent me a smile and then his eyes turned soulless and his head fell to the side.
I whimpered and screamed as loudly as I could. "Alonzo..........No......." I said not wanting to let him go. I felt someone place a hand on my shoulder and I turned around showing my puffy red eyes and tear streamed face. "Palito..." Soldier Water said with tears in her eyes.
"I understand your going through so much right now, believe me, I feel so bad but.....the world needs us right now." She said sadly. A loud roar could be heard from outside and everyone turned to see the dragon pass over us.
"But I'm all out of energy, I'm useless. That's why I couldn't save the love of my life." I said my voice incredibly low. Everyone sent me a sympathetic look.
"We'll give you some time to say your goodbyes but please hurry, we need you. We can't do this without you." Soldier Fire spoke up.
"Cynthia and Annie, please stay here and watch over Soldier War." Soldier Water instructed. "Sure thing." Annie and Cynthia said and walked over to her.
"We'll be outside." Soldier Electricity said and everyone ran outside to fight the dragon. I turned back to wipe the tears off of his pale cheek.
"How could I run out of energy. Maybe if I was stronger I could have saved you." I mumbled into his ear. "Please give me the strength to keep going on." I mumbled kissing his forehead.
"I'll love you, now and forever." I silently promised and gently let his head touch the cold floor. I took off his cape and threw it over him. Wiping my tears away, I stood up and started to head outside when a light flashed behind me.
I spun around and gasped loudly. "Baby..." His deep voice said full of love. "What's going on....." I said covering my eyes due to the intense brightness. "This is my soul, I'm not really here. But I can't rest in peace unless I know your fully safe. So I'll be right by your side the whole time." He smiled gently.
I smiled with tears in my eyes and nodded. "Okay, let's go." He said. I ran outside and saw everyone fighting the black scaled dragon. "The outside skin is too tough... we'll never win anytime soon..." I mumbled looking all around his body.
