Chapter 5- Joining the Group.

Emily's POV

"Hold up...let me just take a moment to process this." I said slowly.

One minute...

"Ah!!!!!!!!!" I yelled out as loud as I could.

Paul had to cover his ears to not get deaf.

Hey, don't judge me, I'm pretty sure you would freak out too if you found out your best friends a magical superhero.

"That is so cool!!" I cried out and I swear I could see my own eyes sparkling.

He looked at me as if I just grew a second head.

"You're not scared?!" He asked me completely surprised.

"Heck no!! I actually think the opposite!!" I said still looking at him like he was a superhero or something.

Technically he was.

"Do you mind if I tag along with you?" I asked hopefully.

"Well I don't know... I mean this is a dangerous mission." He started but I cut him off.

"Please?" I said making puppy dog eyes.

He looked charmed for a moment and nodded. I smiled doing a little victory dance.

"Hell yes! We're going to kick some booty!" I smirked.

Paul just looked like he made a horrible mistake.

Little did I know... He did.

The Next Day

"Hey guys!!" I waved running over to Alejandra, Esteban, and Paul.

I was late to school mostly because I couldn't sleep.

Well who would? I have a huge mission on my hands.

I was not to let nobody know about Paul's little secret.

Rewind, I was not to let nobody know of Paul's BIG secret.

I know what I was getting myself into, we would be facing lots of things like spirits, monsters, etc. etc.

Those guys Paul defeated back there were shape shifters some of the most rare monsters.

"What took you so long?" Alejandra asked.

Her words snapped me out of my thoughts.

"I uh, overslept." I answered honestly.

Alejandra gave me that "seriously" look.

"Oh my god you overslept?" Shorty asked me obviously trying not to laugh out loud.

I nodded blushing.

"Well let's just go to class we are going to get tardy." Paul reminded us.

That got our attention and we sprinted to class as fast as we could.

We avoided crashing into people and barely made it to class.

I literally mean BARELY.

We got inside right when the bell rang signalling the beginning of school.

Paul's POV

I sat down next to my classmate Sabrina Alvarez.

We sat in groups, Bryan H. and Alexis sat in front of us.

I sighed as I took out my homework I had to do a very hard reading log I had to transform the whole story I read into a small paragraph.

Then I have to find 3 words I don't understand and write them down and go online to look up the definition.
