Chapter 32 Master of Mirrors

Paul's POV

I hugged my knees close to my chest and rocked back and forth, letting the sound of the small  waterfall calm me.

"Um... Excuse me?" A young voice asked me. I stiffened and spun around.

"Oh, it's just you." I said slightly calming down. She looked at me with pity.

"Um... I've never actually introduced myself." She told me. I looked at her forcing myself to smile.

"Specula. That's my name." She introduced herself.

"Oh, I have many names, but I'm formally known as Soldier Magic." I smiled gently.

"Mind if I show you something?" She asked me. I nodded.

She pulled out a golden mirror with an orange crystal in it. "This is my special weapon." She said looking at her reflection.

"Weapon?" I asked. She nodded. "I'm a magician, sort of. I can control mirrors." She smiled.

"You remind me so much of my older brother." She told me. "What?" I asked puzzled.

"You guys are so much alike." She said sitting down on a random rock.

"Where exactly is he?" I couldn't help but ask.

"He's gone." She said without emotion.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." I said looking at the ground.

She shook her head and smiled. "As long as he's in a better place I'm alright."

I nodded. "Anyways, what exactly are you supposed to be?" She asked.

"Oh, I'm a superhero. I suppose you could say that. But I'm more of an angel." I explained briefly.

"Angel?! That's so cool!! Superhero?! That's even cooler!!"

Question marks appeared on my head. "What? Your not in the least surprised?" I asked mesmerized. She shook her head. "Nope! Not at all!"

I smiled. The mirror suddenly sparkled and I stared at it quizzically. "Oh! It seems you've taken a liking to my pet." She said grinning widely. "Pet?" I asked.

"Yeah! Come on out and say hello!" She told the mirror and out came a silver colored cat. It's eye color was pure white and there was star shape patterns on it's thick fur. It trotted over to me and I squatted down and patted it's head. "Aw... how cute!" I smiled.

"It's better when you smile." The cat told me. I froze and stared at the cat for a couple of seconds.

"I think I need to see a therapist." I said out loud.

"No, it's okay, Estela can talk. It's completely ordinary." She explained to me. "Not from where I come from." I murmured.

"It's been a while young prince. I'm the third and final Wishing Star." She said scratching her ear with her leg. "You know him Estela?" Specula asked her. "Of course I do. He's the prince of the crystal kingdom."

Damn,  I must be very famous if even a cat knows me.

"Wait back up a bit. You said you were the final wishing star? But we've only found Shelly and you so far. Who's the second star?" I asked Estela. "Trust me, you've found the second star already." She smiled.

I simply looked at her beyond puzzled. "Wait, so does that mean I must give him this? Specula asked Estela pulling out a Heart Crystal.

Wait... did I just say Heart Crystal? I hope not I'm not going crazy, I REALLY don't want to see a therapist.
