Chapter 10 After School Monster: The Possession of a Friend

Emily's POV

Well, here I am in after school with my best friend obviously bored out of my mind.

Sounds like your typical after school doesn't it?

"Great, there just had to be an away game for basketball, meaning that there is not too many people to hang out with. And to top it all off it's a Thursday which means that we will stay here for 3 whole hours!" Paul cried annoying the hell out of me.

"Okay!! I get the damn point you have kept repeating it over and over for 10 minutes straight!!" I yelled.

He seemed to be surprised at my sudden outburst but merely nodded cheerfully and changed the subject.

I sighed and thanked the gods. Well... The good ones most definitely not the bad ones.

I felt like transforming and using my powers... But we all know that that would be completely stupid, plus we can only use our powers to fight and protect.

"Emily, Cynthia is calling us." Paul suddenly told me, bringing me back to reality.

I cocked my head to the side in confusion. Then I gasped and stood up a bit too roughly.

The ASIS teachers Jerry and Kassandra each raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, I don't feel too good." I moaned faking sickness.

I clutched my stomach and I fell forward hoping Paul would catch me.

Luckily, he did and I secretly gave him a small smile in thanks.

"Oh my god, Emily are you okay?" Kassandra asked me in concern.

"Maybe it's best if I take her to the nurse's office." Paul requested.

Kassandra nodded and I was picked up by Paul bridal style. Let me tell you that was very uncomfortable.

I could tell Paul was too because as soon we were out of sight he set me down carefully.

"Well now that that's settled." I said and took in a deep breath.

"Cynthia!!" I called out. In a short time Cynthia appeared before us.

"I might recall I calling you not the other way around." She said irritated.

"Well, what did you want to see us for anyway?" Paul asked nervously.

"Oh, sorry." Cynthia cleared her throat. "I came to warn you that there is a monster that can possess people and make them do whatever he wants." She explained.

"Okay, and this possessor is where exactly?" I asked.

"In this school right now that's all I know." She said and disappeared.

I put a finger on my chin thoughtfully. Where could the possessor be?

"Any ideas on how to find that trouble maker?" I asked Paul.

He looked deep in thought and then a light bulb lit up in his head.

He took out a... rose.

A crimson red rose. What good can a rose do?

"It's an unveiling rose. It can unveil any spirit on a person which enables us to find ghosts. It will move on it's own accord." He explained.

"Oh, and how does it work?" I asked curiously.

"Allow me to demonstrate." He said and blew on the rose softly. The red petals flew and traveled inside the library.

"In the library?!" I said in disbelief and we walked inside.

The people we saw inside was Leslie, Nancy, and Valentin.

The petals flew toward them and circled Leslie. A dark aura surrounded her and we saw a white humanoid on her back.

"Great, now how do we get it off of her?" I asked.

"Like this, I have spiritual powers too you know." He said and grabbed a sutra from his jacket.

"Wait, you can use your powers without transforming?" I asked.

"No, I trained as a normal human and acquired these powers on my own." He said and threw the red sutra at Leslie.

Leslie yelled out in pain and she fainted. Nancy and Valentin tried to get Leslie to wake up but it was to no prevail. They too fainted at seeing the ghost.

The possessor jumped off Leslie's back and landed gracefully. It took in the shape of a normal person.

"I am Kyamon and I will have your souls!!" He yelled.

"Emily! Transform!" Paul told me. I nodded.

"Water Reflection! Transform!!" I yelled and held my hand in the air.

I floated in the air and bubbles appeared around me and they popped making my baby blue underwear. Then water ribbons wrapped around my body creating my sapphire blue dress. My feet sparkled and my silver high heels appeared. A waterfall appeared in the background and two water drops fell on my ears sliding down to my earlobes to create two dewdrop earrings. I spun around and held out two fingers as peace signs.

"I am the soldier of water at your service!"

"Magic Illusion!! Transform!!" Paul yelled and held up his hand as well.

He floated in the air as well and the background changed into a starry sky. An aurora light sparkled brightly and created his black boxers and black socks. Then he spun around and black ribbons wrapped around his body creating the rest of his clothes. His eyes twinkled like stars and they changed to a radiant blue. He made a fist in the air and his other hand was clenched in a fist at his side.

"I am the soldier of magic at your service!!"

"Alright it's time to fight!!" I said and held out my hands making a dozen bubbles appear.

"Bubble..." I said and spun twice looking like a ballerina and I stopped with one foot in the air.

"Blast!!" I finished and threw my arms out at Kyamon and the dozen bubbles flew at him.

He smiled evilly and he pulled out a sword. He popped every bubble in one swift move.

"What?!" I cried out terrified.

"My turn!!" Paul said and held out his hands.

"Scorching..." He started and he raised his hands in the air and the flaming red shards danced around him.

"Shards!!" He finished and he held out his hands like he was going to high five two people at once.

The shards flew in his direction and he smirked. He brought his sword up and yelled out, "Sword Slash!!" A blue sound like wave appeared out of the sword and it came towards us smashing every shard I threw at him.

I jumped out of the way and Emily ducked the wave cutting pieces of her hair.

"I know!! Let's surround him and attack both at once!" I said.

Paul nodded and we surrounded him.

"Bubble... Scorching..." We both started together.

"Blast!! Shards!!" We finished in unison.

Kyamon's eyes widened and he yelled as he disintegrated.

"Hurry! Remove your transformation!!" Paul said. I nodded and we turned back.

And just in the nick of time because everyone woke up.

There are some things not meant for other people to see.
