Chapter 41: Practice for Graduation! My First Time.

Paul's POV

Well this is the last dish. I sighed loudly as I dried the plate and placed it with the other dishes. I dried my hands and left the kitchen.

"Are you finished young prince?" Annie asked me. I smiled. "Yup!"

"Good job!" She gave me a thumbs up.

Ever since that incident at the mountains, everyone has been keeping a closer eye on me. They even made me clean the house every day for two weeks as punishment.

The door rang and I raised an eyebrow suspiciously. Who would come here in the middle of the night?

I quietly peeked outside but it was too dark for me to see. I walked to the front door and opened it.

"You must be Paul right?" A woman asked. "Uh, yeah why?" I asked. She handed me a box and asked for me to sign my name on a paper.

I did as told, but before I could ask what the mysterious package was, she left. I shrugged and picked up the light box and took it inside.

It was shut with tape, so I grabbed a knife and cut it open. I opened up the package and gasped mesmerized.

It was my black graduation gown. And the cap was with it too!

Oh right... My last school days are almost done. Then we might all end up going to different schools. What if I end up moving to another country?

"I can't think like that! Tomorrow I have practice for graduation! I've got to be ready for anything!" I slapped some sense into myself.

I placed my gown and cap in the box neatly and put it on top of the table.

I turned off all the lights and headed straight for bed. Everyone had already gone to sleep? Talk about lazy.

I crawled in my bed and closed my eyes. I have to give it my all!! I dreamed of me graduating and my parents cheering for me. My parents were the two people I wanted the most to see me in the black graduation gown.

"Alright! I'm headed for school now!!" I called out happily. "Take care sweetie." I heard my mom say.

"Okay!" I responded. "Do your best son okay?" My dad told me. "Sure thing dad!!" I smiled.

"Annie, could you feed Starlight for me?" I asked her. "Sure thing young prince!" She laughed and went to feed him.

I headed for the bus and sat on the first empty seat I found. Which coincidentally was next to Emily and Stephanie.

"Don't tell me Leslie missed school again." I said. "Yeah, she had to babysit." Emily responded.

"Oh well... By the way, hey Stephanie." I waved. "Hey Paul." She responded and went back to listening to music.

The bus shook slightly and stopped advancing. We all stood up to see what was wrong and saw that a tire blew.

"Oh great, we're going to be late." A student from my class said behind me.

"They better not get us in trouble because of this." I said and the student behind me nodded.

"Wait!" I snapped my fingers and Emily looked at me curiously.

"I have an idea." I smiled. I got up from my seat and climbed off the bus.

"Please go back inside and take a sea." The bus driver said trying to call the school with his radio.

"I can fix this." I volunteered. He ignored me and tried to keep reaching the school. Maybe he thought I was joking.
