Chapter 3- Dangerous Sweets! Don't eat too many!

Paul's POV

'Sometimes playing with peoples emotions can be tragic.

So if you intend to say something actually mean it!!'

"Ooh that quote is actually very um...what's the word I'm looking for?" Emily asked me putting a finger on her chin thoughtfully.

"Emotional?" I requested.

"More like beautiful but yeah that too." She said.

I smiled and laughed awkwardly.

'Yeah you think everything is beautiful' I thought in my mind.

"Okay class, time for break!!" Mrs. Fernandez said cheerfully.

I almost ran out the door with glee.

But I forced myself to not do that.

Because I wouldn't want to get detention on such a beautiful day.

Wait, let me rephrase that, I wouldn't want to get detention on such a peaceful day.

I almost sounded like Emily right there.

"Come on let's go chill outside!!" Emily said literally dragging me outside.

Great, Alejandra and Esteban aren't here so I'm the only one that's going to be dragged along.

Why must you be so cruel to me god?

"Look I see Mr. Saroca!!" Emily told me.

Mr. Saroca was our favorite teacher because we didn't pay attention in his class and he didn't say anything.

So yeah any troublemakers dream would become reality in Mr. Sarocas class.

Quite ludicrous if i may say so myself.

"Look, people these days don't know how to take care of their things!" Emily cried dramatically.

"What do you mean?" I asked puzzled.

"Look at all that precious chocolate wasted on the floor!" She said pointing to a bar of chocolate.

Though I have to admit that was cruel.

I love chocolate and if anybody messes with it, I'll go loco on them.

"Oh! I'm going to head over to class for a bit! I need to solve this math problem that I'm having difficulty with." I told Emily.

"Fine, but don't think I'm going to wait for you! I hate looking like a loner!" She pouted.

"Alright. It's fine with me." I smiled and walked off.

"Hey! Paul!!" Emily called out.

"What?!" I called back. She wiggled her eyebrows and motioned to someone behind me.

I turned around then quickly spun back around. "Shut up! I don't like him!" I stomped off but not before accidentally hitting someone.

"Sorry!" I blushed and sped off. The boy looked at me curiously then smirked knowingly.

"God! Why do I get butterflies every time I see him? It doesn't help that he is so handsome either." I said to myself and went to my math class.

After a bit I started to crave something healthy. Like a salad or something.

I walked towards the cafeteria and on my way there I saw students running past me in a daze.

"What's going on?" I asked as I saw a huge crowd in the cafeteria.

They were giving out free candy.

"God, I have to get out of here before I start to crave some sweets too." I said about to walk out.

Then I noticed all the students that ate candy started turning blue.

Like literally blue.

Their eyes turned bright gold and they grew scales.

I looked terrified because I ran to the bathroom.

Luckily none of them saw me come in here.

What I didn't notice was one of them behind me until I heard growling.

I stiffened and I turned around coming face to face with a blue scaled monster.

I yelled so loudly you could see all the birds flying away because of the noise.

I ran out the bathroom door and I saw all the students now turned to blue scaly monsters.

"That's it!" I yelled.

"Magic Illusion! Transform!!" I yelled holding my hand up.

I floated in the air and the background changed to a starry night sky I pulled my legs to my chest and an Aurora sparkled brightly creating my black boxers and tight black knee high socks. I held my arms on top of my head and stood straight as black shiny ribbons wrapped around my body creating my wonderful black suit. I stood on tippy toes and made a T with my body as stars flew down to his body and created my black shoes and white gloves. My chocolate brown eyes sparkled as they changed to a radiant blue. I put a hand on my hip and my other hand in my pocket while smirking.

"I am the Soldier of Magic at your service!!"

"How dare you turn sweets into very dangerous foods that turn kids into hideous monsters!!" I said pointing an accusing finger at the main monster.

"I am magic. I am illusion. I will stop you, with a little confusion."

"Though I do have one question though." I said.

The main monster gave a confused look.

"Would you mind if I have some candy too?" I asked smiling brightly.

The monster looked at me weirdly but then he glared at me and clawed at me.

I jumped back and all the students chased me too.

I yelled as one student lunged for me.

I moved out of the way and he crashed against the wall.

"Oops! Sorry!!" I said.

I saw all the students advance toward me. I chewed on my thumb nail then a light bulb appeared on my head.

I jumped out the window and whistled loudly. As I expected some students that were outside also turned into monsters. They looked at me and rushed inside.

"Come this way!" I called out making all of them come towards me. Once all of them monsters were here I rose my hand.

I pointed a finger to the air and it sparkled.

"Shiny Healing Dust!!" I yelled and sparkly dust spread across the whole room.

All the transformed students glowed and turned back to normal.

"Okay next step!"

"Scorching Shards!!" I yelled and shards of blue flame flew towards the enemy. The monster was able to dodge it this time.

"Well, that didn't work!!!" I said slightly scared.

The monster lunged at me and I did a backflip and I was a little clumsy and bonked my head against the wall.

"Ow!!!!" I yelled and softly rubbed my head.

"I know!!!" I said getting another idea.

"Come this way!" I said and ran outside. The main monster followed me and I jumped up to the sky. The monster tried to look for me but the suns rays blinded it.

"How about this?!" I yelled out and drew a circle around me with blue shards of flame. "Scorching Shards!!" I yelled and pointed to the monster.

The blue shards flew at it. The monster disintegrated and all the candies turned to dust.

"Who would have thought that candy could be so dangerous?" I asked myself then I changed back and ran out the door.

"But I do love chocolate!"
