Chapter 27 Halloween Apocalypse Part 3

Paul's POV

I opened my eyes and I gently sat up. I rubbed my wrists and my waist, it was very sore in those specific spots. I was unconscious on a stone shaped like a bed.

Well no wonder I was uncomfortable!
I gently flapped my wings to make sure they weren't hurt. They were fine, just a little stiff. Actually, I don't think I've tried flying with them before.

I still need to learn but I don't have enough time for that.

"We are very glad your awake young prince." The butler appeared on my side.

"Who are you really?" I asked him very curious.

"Oh, how rude of me! I don't think I've properly introduced myself! My name is Batorano. Although you must not bother in remembering my name, for you will be dead pretty soon." Batorano smirked.

"What?" I said quickly standing up, but as soon as I did, the same chains which trapped me earlier wrapped around me again. I tried to break free but they only tightened more if I struggled.

The chains tied me down onto the bed shaped stone. Another pair of chains tied my hands around a nearby pillar, so I was completely helpless.

"Excellent work Batorano." Another voice said.

"Now who is it?!" I said rolling my eyes.

"Dominus is my name." He introduced himself. I raised an eyebrow.

"I remember that your name means something in Latin." I said.

"I would have expected no less from the prince of the Crystal Kingdom." Dominus said. He shoved his arm inside of his stomach and blood poured out. He pulled out something shiny.

My eyes widened. "That's a Heart Crystal!" It was the Ruby Heart Crystal!!

"Well, I don't need them, because like I already have my boyfriend back so there's no need." I waved my hand.

"Wrong, young prince. The Heart Crystals hold unlimited power. Whoever holds all ten Heart Crystals can grant any wish. All of us monsters are searching for them in order to possess the ultimate power. It seems only one is in this world, the rest are scattered across time and space." He explained.

I shifted to try and hide my Emerald Heart Crystal on my bracelet. Luckily he hasn't noticed it yet.

"It is said that the portal will open with a pure soul or the blood of a pure one." Dominus told me.

"Then why don't you go with the second option then?! Seriously! I don't want to die young!" I cried.

The clock on the nearby church strung midnight. "The time has come." He said. He shoved the Heart Crystal back in his stomach and the wound healed.

He bent down on one knee and held up a silver blade so that the moonlight of the full moon reflected on it. He mumbled strange words and walked over to me.

"Wait a minute! You can't kill me! I still haven't went on a date! Or had a family or any kinds of little brats chasing after me! Please! Don't!" I yelled and then... He slammed the blade down on my stomach.

I gasped for breath, but it seems only blood came in its place. The blood oozing out of my stomach traveled down the stone and filled up a symbol engraved on the ground. The symbol glowed red and a pillar of light shot out.

The light made a U-turn and slammed down onto me. I screamed in pain. It felt like my insides were being ripped apart. Suddenly the light morphed into a pale ghostly hand and it entered my body. It pulled out something bright from within me.
