Imagine #22 -- Ren of NU'EST

"________-ah come down" My mother shouts from the kitchen. She had told me earlier that we were having a guy stay with us who is around my age, so he must have arrived. I walk down the stairs, less than enthusiastic about sharing my house with a stranger. I see a blond head sitting on the couch and I go to the kitchen instead.

"I thought you said it was a guy that was staying here?" I ask her as I fill a glass with water and drink.

"He is a guy, please don't be rude to him while he's here" She pleads, taking my drink and pushing me towards the lounge. I roll my eyes and walk in to the room, sitting next to the blond haired person.

"Hi, I'm ______" I say, holding out my hand. He looks at me, and I notice how pretty he actually is, no wonder why I thought he was a girl.

"I'm not going to bite you, I'm just saying hi" I say when he doesn't respond to me. I sigh, taking him as a shy guy.

"Come on, I'll show you your room" I say, standing up. He gets up silently and follows me to the spare room.

"I cleaned it out yesterday so I think it should be mostly empty, but if you find anything just tell me and I'll move it for you" I say and he looks around the room quietly.

"If you don't talk soon I'm just going to pretend your mute" I say, walking back out of the room to back to my room. After a week of the boy staying I get bored of his silence, so I walk up to his door and knock. He opens the door wide, he's wearing skinny jeans and a sleeveless singlet, looking down to me and waiting for me to speak. He still hadn't said anything when I was around but my Mother had told me his name was Minki.

"I'm meeting my friends at the mall, you should come and you haven't left the house much this week" I say, Minki looking at me blankly.

"Minki, you are coming out" I tell him.

"Ren" He says quietly.

"What?" I say, happy he was finally speaking to me.

"My name is Ren" He says a bit louder and I smile at him.

"Well, are you coming Ren?" I say and he smiles, following me as I walk back downstairs and outside. I walk with him down the road towards the mall, having arranged to meet my friends at the mall.

"How come it took you this long to talk to me?" I ask him and he looks at me shyly, looking like he was wondering whether or not to say something.

"I guess I'm a bit shy" He says, looking down.

"Well, I'll have to change that" I smile widely and he looks to me.

"My friends can live without me" I say, deciding since I had got Ren outside that I could spend the day with him instead of my friends. I rang my friends and told them to go without me, and Ren looks confused.

"I see them heaps, I want to get to know you better" I say, smiling at him. He returns my smile and we walk to a park nearby. We sit at a bench and talk for a while, Ren finally warming up to me and speaking more freely.

"I think we should get back before you catch a cold" I say, smiling and standing.

"W-Wait" Ren says and I look back, waiting. He stands and hugs me.

"Thank you" He says quietly and I smile, but I'm slightly confused as to what I did.

"For what, Ren?" I say as he pulls back, looking away a little.

"Most people say I look like a girl" He says, even quieter than before.

"Do you want to know a secret?" I say, smiling a little. He nods slowly so I motion for him to come closer. I hesitate for a second before pecking his cheek.

"You may look a bit like a girl but you are also handsome Minki" I say, smiling and walking backwards slowly, waiting for him to catch up.

"Hey wait up~!" He calls, catching up and walking back with me.

During the few months of Ren living with us I hung out with him a lot and we got closer. My Mother happy we were getting along, she saw us laying on the couches, lazy on a hot summers day.

"How about you guys go to that new amusement park near the mall?" She offers, evens saying she'll drive us there. I look to Ren, my eyes asking if he want to go. He smiles and nods so we both get up and follow my Mother out.

"Just text me when you are finished Okay?" She says, driving away.

"C'mon" I smile excited, pulling him in the gate. We go on all the rides and end up on a water ride, standing at the top.

"Oh, actually this one looks scary..." I say, looking over the edge of the ride.

"No we should ride it" Ren persuades.

"Noo" I say as he pulls me towards the front. He manages to get me in the raft ride and we sit down, me sitting close to him out of fright already. The ride starts and before long I scream and the raft smashes into the side of the river ride. Ren is surprised and puts an arm around my shoulders to see if I'm alright. After a bit the ride ends and I'm still hiding into Ren, his arm wrapped protectively around me.

"We have to get of the ride now" Ren says, helping me stand up and get off. When we are walking away from the ride I turn and hug Ren.

"Thank you, Ren" I say, smiling up at him. He hesitates before smiling back at me.

"Do you remember when you told me that secret of yours?" He asked, thinking back to our first day hanging out at the park.

"Yes, why?" I ask and he smiles.

"Do you want to know a secret?" He says and I nod, smiling. He motions for me to come closer and I do.

"I really like you" He whispers in my ear and looking in my eyes for a moment before leaning in slowly and kissing me softly on the lips, putting his hand on the back of my neck as he does. He stays close after pulling away, waiting for my reaction.

"I-I like you to..." I manage to say and he hugs me tightly, before pulling me to yet another ride, spending the day close to one another and running around the park and rides.
