Loud, blaring and annoying beeping startles you out of your sleep. It takes you a moment to realize it's the sound of the buildings fire alarm.
"Shoot!" You scream, jumping out of bed and whipping to the window. You were 3 stories up, and you could see small amounts of smoke coming out a window somewhere above you. It only takes a moment for you to grab your side bag which was conveniently packed from the day before, filled with your purse, phone, car keys and other small things. Still in your pyjamas you leave your apartment, the door automatically locking as you reach the stairs and jump down a few at a time. Other people begin appearing out of their apartments as you get down the first level, and you stop to help your elderly neighbour down as well.
"Thank you dear, I was afraid people would push and let me fall" She thanked you, holding your arm and making her way down. Then the front doors were in sight, standing open and ready for them to leave. Outside was freaking freezing. Everyone was moved away to a safe spot to watch on as the top floors caught fire. The building was 8-9 stories high, but you still worried about your belongings. A harsh wind sweeps past you and you hug yourself, withdrawing from the weather.
"You look cold" Someone behind you states, and you feel a weight settle on your shoulders. Looking round, you see a thick warm jacket covering your body and a boy around the same height as you standing in front of you.
"Thank you, but.. won't you get cold?" You ask, seeing him in jeans and a thin jacket.
"I'm not the one in Pyjama shorts" SungJong notes, looking you up and down.
"Do you live in that building?" He points, and you gaze sadly towards it.
"Yes"
"Oh, that's unlucky. I'm SungJong by the way"
"____________" You respond.
"Umm, would you like to go get drink with me? I-it would be warmer in there and I know a place with really good hot chocolate?" SungJong asks, surprising you.
"Ah.. Yea, actually that sounds nice" You agree, smiling.
