"________??" Zelo peeked around the door to your bedroom, somehow noticing you buried underneath the covers on your bed. He smiles, sneaking forward into your room quietly. The mattress lowered as he sat on it, placing a hand on the figure under the blanket. It was common for Zelo to come over uninvited, but he generally sent your Mother to wake you up.
He shook you lightly, waiting for you to wake up. When you don't stir, he looks at you, confused and worried. Leaning down in front of you, he comes close to your face.
"________?? are you alive?" He questions, watching you closely. Your eyes open suddenly, before going wide from seeing Zelo's face so close to yours.
"Zelo"
"Oh, your awake!" Zelo hurries to move back, sitting up and giving you space. You sit up, leaning against your bedhead. You had only worn a singlet with your pyjama pants as it had been a hot night.
'Happy Birthday ______" He murmurs, looking around your room slightly embarrassed.
"Thank you Zelo" You smile, before noticing him holding out a shoe box towards you.
"What's that?"
"It's for you" Zelo still doesn't look at you. You take the box from his hands, pulling on the ribbon and watching it fall off before lifting the box lid.
"Oh my god it's so cute!" You exclaim, picking up an adorable matoki plushie. It was black and blue, and made of the softest fabric you'd ever felt.
"Totomato!" You happily read the name on the tag, smiling and patting the toy happily before hugging it.
"Thank you Zelo!" You exclaim, hugging him as well as the plushie.
"Do you want to get changed before we go out?" Zelo asks when I pull away.
"We're going out somewhere?" You question, standing up from your bed and stretching.
"Well, yea, I wanted to take you on a date if that's okay" Zelo smiles at you, and you look at him slowly. You weren't dating in the first place, so it was a shock, but it made you smile widely.
"A date? Us? Really?"
"I'll wait for you downstairs then" Zelo answers, seeing your smile. He had a big day planned for you, and he just couldn't wait.
