"It's not fair of you to ask me to cancel being with my family on Christmas"

You won't believe the small, stupid things people fight about, and yet that's exactly what's happening. Your family had invited Ukwon to Christmas lunch, but with Ukwon's family also having a lunch due to many young nieces and nephews, and both families being stubborn, your argument seemed endless. It was at that point that you left the house, grabbing your jacket on the way out. You had your phone with you, and after around an hour of wandering the town Ukwon starts calling. Although you're not exactly angry at him, you decide to just take some more time to yourself and refuse the call. On the other end of the line, Ukwon begins to worry. You find a quiet place away from the roads of your town, sitting down and getting out a small notebook which you write you plans in like a calendar. You flip to Christmas day, seeing what you had written a year ago when you first got the book. 'Lunch with Family'. In the more relaxed setting, your head clears up. If Ukwon won't come with you to your family's lunch and you won't go to his, maybe you could have both families on a neutral territory. You write down your note happily and stand up, wanting to go home to talk to Ukwon about it. You re-read what you've written down while you walk, smiling before crossing the road. The loud scream of a car horn reaches your ears before you are smacked sideways and hit the pavement.

-----------------------

Ukwon is at home, his phone held loosely in his hand hanging off the couch. The phone rings, and Ukwon jumps to answer it, seeing your caller ID and hoping you were returning his calls.

"_________?" He asks, griping the phone.

"I'm sorry, is this the emergency contact for _______?" A voice that sounds older than yours responds, and Ukwon sits up.

"This is her boyfriend, where is she? What happened" Ukwon listens in silence until the woman finishes speaking. The woman is a nurse at the hospital, and found your phone in your coat pocket not harmed from the crash.

"She's being examined right now, so there is no rush to come in" The woman adds, but is ignored by Ukwon.

"I'll be there as soon as I can" Ukwon hangs up on her, only grabbing his keys, jacket and wallet before running out to his car. He makes it to the hospital quicker than he should have given the speed limits, and runs into your room just as they finish putting you in your bed. Ukwon rushes over, distraught and shaky. "Is she going to be okay?" He asks a nurse with the clipboard, seeing your eyes closed and mask regulating your breathing.

"She broke a few ribs and her arm. But her head took most of the impact, we don't know if she will wake up. If she wakes up, she'll be fine, if she doesn't... The driver left his card for you" She passes a business card to Ukwon and places the board down. Ukwon walks over to you, sitting next to the bed.

"If you die on me I'll kill you"

---------------------

Ukwon spent most of his days next to you, waiting and trying to coax you awake. He brought familiar things to you to try wake you, playing music quietly. After 9 days, of which Ukwon was counting, you open your eyes. You immediately close them again when you breath in, feeling the pain and squeezing your hand. Ukwon sits up quickly, his hand having been wrapped around yours.

"________? Are you awake?" You don't answer as you try to breathe normally. "Please ________, wake up"

"Bossy aren't you" You give a small smile and open your eyes slightly.

"_________!" Ukwon knows better than to try hug you, deciding to just hold your hand. "Don't you ever do that again"
