Chapter 15: Sobering Up

"We should've just left his ass in the hallway pining over you.." Ryan said rolling his eyes angry that I brought Keegan in.

"Can we not argue about me helping a "friend" when they're drunk." I said rolling my eyes back at Ryan because he was getting on my nerve about this whole Keegan thing.

"I just think it's stupid how you invited a guy who is in love with you inside of your house with your fiancé."

"Ryan it doesn't matter that he loves me... I love you not him. He's just a friend." I said again for the one millionth time now.

Ryan rolled his eyes. "You're lying to yourself..." He said underneath his breathe.

I couldn't catch exactly what he said but I knew it had something to do with Keegan so I just rolled my eyes and brushed it off.

Keegan rolled over and his eyes fluttered open. His bright blue eyes staring into my green ones. "Hey." I said with a smile.

"How are you feeling?" I asked grabbing a glass of water handing it to him.

He scooted up off the couch. He was still a bit drunk but not as bad. Or at least maybe he isn't that bad anymore. I'm not sure. He did drink an entire bottle of whiskey before hand.

"I'm confused..." Keegan said groggily taking a sip of his glass of water.

"Confused? On?" I asked rubbing his arm gently which got a little noise of what seemed like a scoff  from Ryan.

I turned my head and glared at him. He rolled his eyes once again and crossed his arms.

"You..." Keegan said staring at my eyes then at my lips then at my eyes again.

I bit my lip and shook my head. "Me? I don't understand..."

"We kissed... You liked it but yet you walked away. Figuratively speaking considering I was the one who left." Keegan said sipping his water again.

I gulped loudly knowing that Ryan totally just heard and I never dropped that news to Ryan that me and Keegan kissed that one time.

"Excuse me what did you just say?" Ryan said walking a bit closer to Keegan who was sitting up on the couch.

"Ryan..." I said softly trying to calm him down.

"No, no what did you just say Keegan?" Ryan asked again but this time more aggressively.

"We... Umm we kissed.." Keegan said placing his water down.

And luckily Keegan made a good decision on putting his water down because Ryan swung and smashed his fist directly into Keegans face.

Ryan grabbed his fist afterwards because of how hard he punched Keegan.

"Ryan!!" I screamed grabbing Keegan to check his face.

There was a big red mark on the side of Keegans face. There was even a cut on the edge of Keegans eyebrow that's how hard Ryan had punched him.

Keegan groaned and leaned his head back. One he was drunk. Two he just got punched. His head is in so much pain right now.

"Keegan are you okay?" I asked touching his face gently with my fingers.

Keegan winced at the pain every time I would touch his face.

"Oh thanks for asking me.." Ryan said rubbing his hand gently.
