Careful: This scene includes a small intimate moment between both boys. If you're not comfortable with any guy on guy moments, skip this chapter and drop me a private message -- that way I can sum up the chapter for you.

Scene Sixteen:

The smell of freshly baked goods was in the air of Jordan's home and he had to admit that it was a great contrast to the smelly, teenage-boy living conditions he faced for the time being. It had been nearly a week since Jordan had set off into a world where he didn't see his messy haired, holy jean wearing lover.

The band decided to make a quick day trip to Jordan's house since it was close enough to the concert tomorrow and he really did miss his mother. He didn't have a full face-to-face conversation with her yet about this whole boy drama and he wanted her opinion and say in it too.

Naturally, there wasn't enough rooms in the household for everyone on the tour bus so Jordan was the only one staying the night there while the others had the nearest hotel to look forward too.

But he could still hear Andy's disappointed sighs and complaints like it had just escaped his lips.

"You always ruin my fun! Maybe I had hopes and dreams of meeting your mother again, it's been too long." He mumbled, having a far-away look in his eyes.

Keegan had then snorted. "You only want to visit because you know she will bake a batch of cookies for you." He was seated across from Jordan at the small, simple kitchen table the tour bus offered. Andy was perched on his bunk-bed looking down at them, his pillow held tightly to his chest.

"Not true!" Andy cried, his eyes wide.

"It is true." Keegan prodded, sipping his coffee. "Just admit it already, we all know that's the reason."

Andy's lip quivered before he let himself fall back onto his bed. "Fine, so maybe it is true. But, Jordan's mother makes the best cookies in the state of Indiana! You two can't argue with that!"

Andy had them there. Jordan's mother did make the best cookies in the entire state, in fact she loved her bragging rights about it. He remembered all the years of him as a child, when he was invited with his family over neighbors's houses and she'd always bring a batch -- just to hear the loving compliments. But he supposed she did have the right to hear everyone's lovely chats about her cookies, she spends all day hassling over them, she deserved a little credit.

And as the smell seduced him to make his way now into the kitchen, he saw his mother bending over to retreieve the batch of said delicious cookies. Once she safely placed them on the stove and turned it off, she squealed and wrapped her arms around her son.

"I've missed you." She mumbled into his shoulder.

Wrapping his arms around his mother's small waist, he smiled. "It's only been a few weeks, you couldn't have missed me already."

She pulled back to cup his face with her hands, "Hm, you're right. I didn't miss you. I figured it was the nice, motherly thing to say once you returned. But, I know Wallace missed you very much!"

At the name of his furry friend, Jordan turned around to see him rubbing his face along his jeans. Reaching down he plucked him up off of the floor and held him to his chest. It was sad that he couldn't bring his life-long friend on tour with him, but he kept in touch with Wallace's twitter account. Though, Jordan still never knew how he was able to make an account for himself.

But he is a very talented cat.

Putting Wallace onto the counter top, he watched as he padded his way over to the water bowl and lapped at it.
