Careful: This scene includes a large intimate moment between both boys. If you're not comfortable with any guy on guy moments, skip this chapter and drop me a private message -- that way I can sum up the chapter for you.
Scene Eighteen:
With shaky hands, Jordan blew out the last match after lighting the final candle. The entire room was now glowing from the multiple wax beings. There were about two dozen of them in the small suite that Jordan would be sharing with Christofer. And sadly, he was already sweating from preparing everything not to mention how much blazing heat the candles were producing every moment he awaited on his lover.
After telling Christofer of his plans for the night, Jordan got a strict run-down of all the places on the male anatomy that he should pay attention to -- as if he weren't a male himself.
He had felt like a naive child again, having to go through that torturous fifth grade assembly with the title of Your Body Is Changing. And if that wasn't enough, Katelyn had detailed every scenario in her speech, that would eventually happen between the two on their journey of discovery. From the beginnings of them removing their clothes, to the screaming and yelling in the midst of their passions.
Katelyn's unique knock on the suite door left Jordan to take a calming breath from his reverie and answer it. But before he even had a chance to ask her what she was doing, she barged in and took a look around.
"You idiot!" She yelled after her inspection. "I said to set the mood, not wait to burn the entire hotel room down!"
Jordan gaped. "How was I supposed to know? All those chick-flicks my mother used to watch would present a room filled with candles for the couple. I thought that was what I was supposed to do!"
Katelyn sighed, running a hand over her face. "Leave it to you to already mess this up. I knew I shouldn't have left you alone. If you want something done right, you might as well do it yourself." Grumbling to herself she began to open the bag she brought along, thrusting it into Jordan's arms. "All you need to do is place a bunch of rose petals over the bed. It's simple, cute and quick. Okay? I have to go before Christofer gets here, but blow out all the candles and place them on the sink in the bathroom so Christofer will never find out."
Watching Katelyn close the door behind her, Jordan began to repeat the steps in his mind -- almost like he was chanting them over and over again. Placing the bag on the floor, Jordan decided to finish easier job first. Taking a handful of rose petals each, he placed them randomly over the cover of the queen-sized bed. After every inch was practically covered, he tossed the bag to the side and began blowing out all the candles.
Little did he know, blowing out two dozen candles leads to large amounts of smoke in the air. And with the windows closed in the small spaced suite, the smoke lifted to the ceiling where the smoke detector lay.
Immediately sensing a fire the detector went off, bringing along with it the sprinklers. Too soon, Jordan was drenched from head to toe along with all his hard work and the bed.
It was in that moment that Christofer walked in, carrying a small bag over his shoulder and a large smile upon his face. Only to see that Jordan was standing in the middle of a sprinkler war, with his shoulder's slumped and his head hanging low as he became pelted relentlessly with droplets of water.
"I tried," Jordan said softly, meeting the eyes of Christofer. "I tried to make this romantic, but naturally something had to go wrong. I'm really sorry I ruined this for us."
Christofer shook his head, giving off a little laugh. "Are you kidding? From where I'm standing you've never looked sexier under the spray of the water. Look at your clothes, they're practically see-through!" Dropping the bag onto the wet floor, he slammed the door behind him and walked towards Jordan.
