"Ow! Ow, ow, ow," Ryan grunted through his teeth as a tender hand treated a wound on his shoulder with an antiseptic.

"Hey, try to keep it down, we're not exactly supposed to be here either," Jay said in a hushed voice while he leaned against the wall by the door. His still-soggy longcoat and hat hung on one of the chairs nearby.

Ryan glared at him. Where most people would feel intimidated, he got the feeling Jay didn't seem too threatened by this person who was easily a lot more dangerous than him. Go figure.

The tanned young man sat on the edge of a bed in the nurse's office. Stripped of his flak jacket and clothes, and left with just a pair of green and black boxer shorts, his toned muscles and six-pack abs were exposed to open air, along with the still unpatched bullet wounds ventilating his body.
