"Jeanne...?"
Jay blinked, completely and utterly perplexed.
Here was his landlady, of whom he was usually the willing victim of her sharp tongue, standing in the corridor in front of his home looking like a schoolgirl in love. That can't be right. Did it have something to do with the note in her hands?
The golden blonde threw her arms around the boy, startling him. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped, unsure of how he was supposed to react. The sweet smell of lavender wafted from the girl who tightened her arms around him in joy.
"You've made me so happy," she muttered next to his ears.
