The Yuki-onna, Shion Sasegawa, immediately regretted her decision to allow the Day Witch to free her friend. While she might not care much for people, she did have some distaste for denying even an enemy the chance to keep their loved ones safe.
Then she saw a glint of metal in the hand of the Day Witch and started to feel suspicious. While she could sense body temperature through cold vapor alone, she needed snow to land on objects to probe for their shape.
