Twenty three [] it's alright

Jae's pov

I saw Syd grabbed my keys and leave.

"Hey Derek..." I said.

He nodded. "We should goo.. Syd just left!" I said to him.

"Okay. I'll found Mac!!" Halle said.

We nodded and headed out to the front of the house.

"Woah!" I said almost tripping but Vernon caught me.

"You're alittle 'woozi' Jae." Vernon said putting me back up.

"Please tell me you didn't mean that pun." Halle said walking out.

Vernon laughed his ass off.

"That's your boyfriend." Mac said as we all got in Derek's car. "I know. Thanks for reminding me." I said and laughed.

"Let's go home. I need sleep to get over this beer." Halle said.

"You owe me 10 bucks." Mac said to DK. He sighed and have her money.

"Wonwoo, you're quiet. Whats wrong?" I asked him. He looked down and sighed.

"Syd saw this girl get on me lap and she left mad at me. But I didn't do anything with her. Now Syd is mad at me and I don't want her to leave me." He said in a deep voice as we drove home.

"Oh, it's okay. She'll get over it eventually. You can say you're sorry when we get home." Mac said smiling.

"She should be home by now." Halle said turning on some music for no reason because we were already home.

I got out and helped Vernon out. "Uh Jae we have a problem." DK said worried.

"Mm?"

"Your car isn't here." Derek said turning around.

"I'm calling her." Mac said immediately after.

"She's not picking up." She said after a couple seconds.

That's when I heard my phone ring.

"Do you know this number?" I asked in a serious tone, the beer worn off instantly.

"It's the police. I got it." Vernon said taking the phone.

"Hello?" He asked. "Hold on please."

"Here." He said handing it back to me and looked down. "Whats wrong?" Halle said walking up.

"Is this Jae Maeberry?" They asked.

"Yes." I said back in English hoping they would too.

"Unfortunately, your friend has been a serious car accident and.. she is in the hospital. I'm sorry." The lady said.

I dropped to the ground.

"Ma'am? Are you okay?" She asked.

"Jae, whats wrong?" Vernon asked holding me.

"What hospital?" I asked into the phone.

"______________ I'm sorry again." She said and I hung up the phone.

I looked down at the ground. "Jae! Tell us!" Mac yelled.

"She.. she was in a serious car accident." I said with my shaky voice.

"She is in the hospital." I said still looking down.

Brooklyn walked out from the house because she stayed home. "Whats up guys??" She asked happily.

"SYDNEY IS IN THE HOSPITAL!!" Mac yelled crying into DK's arms.

"What are we gonna do, Jae?" Halle asked starting to cry.

"Go to the hospital." I said looking up at them.

"Jae, are you alright?" Vernon asked as I got into Derek's car and made him give me his keys.

"Get in. I'll talk there." I said mono toned.

Halle, Mac, Brooklyn, and Vernon all got in the car.

"Boys stay here if anyone come over." I said as I backed out of the drive way into the road.

"Jae.. y-you have to show some emotion please! Say something!" Brooklyn said crying.

"I can't. Right now." I said focusing on the road.

Vernon put his hand on my thigh.

"It's alright."
